Jennifer Wildenberg has earned a Masters in Education and Counseling, Bachelors in Physical Education, and holds a Pupil Personnel Counseling Services Credential along with a California Teaching Credential. In 1998, she started her career with MBUSD working as the District Counselor where she carried out a comprehensive prevention, intervention and counseling health program. In addition, Jennifer oversaw the implementation of many state and federal grants. An opportunity arose to work with Torrance Memorial’s Thelma McMillen Center for Chemical Dependency Treatment for Adolescents and Adults and Jennifer departed the district to work with the hospital. In this position, she trained teachers and counselors throughout the South Bay, worked with parents individually and in workshop settings, and established an effective community outreach program. This program assisted families, schools and physicians on chemical dependency and community resources. In 2007 Jennifer returned to MBUSD in a new role as School Counselor for Mira Costa High School. Her philosophy is providing a holistic and proactive service which contributes to each student’s educational, vocational and personal/social development. Jennifer is a former graduate of Mira Costa herself, with two adult children and a member of this community.
