Having grown up in Manhattan Beach and attended Robinson, Pacific (when Robinson was closed due to low enrollment), Center School, and Mira Costa, I feel that I have a solid understanding of the needs of the both the students and the community. I still live in Manhattan Beach with my wife, and have two boys who attend MBMS and Robinson. Thus, I have am very well connected to the town.
I attempt to reach out to all students and incorporate the many learning styles in my daily lessons and activities. While trying to foster a rich love of the historical content in my students, I am also trying to build the many analytical and critical thinking skills that will serve all students no matter what future endeavors they pursue.
In my free time I spend as much time as possible outside, at the beach or surfing in the ocean, snowboarding, hiking, SUPing in the mountains/lakes, and generally cherishing the beauty of mother nature. I have also taken an interest in photography.
