I was born and raised in upstate New York as the middle child of three daughters, and majored in Special Education at the State University of New York at Geneseo.  Upon earning my degree and after enduring some very cold winters, I moved to California and obtained my Master's Degree in Education and have been teaching for more than 25 years. I taught elementary and middle school grades for a few years each in Los Angeles Unified, Beverly Hills Unified, and San Luis Obispo before coming to Mira Costa 15 years ago. I discovered that I love working with the high school age students the best!  I live in Manhattan Beach with my husband, who is a chef, and my two children, who attend school in MBUSD as well.  I enjoy working with the Learning Center Team at Costa!
