Welcome to another great school year! I originally worked for Pricewaterhouse Coopers upon graduating from college and spent 4 years in audit specializing in manufacturing clients. In 2000 I transferred to Los Angeles to specialized in Forensic Accounting. My work consisted primarily on fraud investigation services before obtaining my teaching credential.
My first teaching assignment was in Burbank at John Burroughs High School. After 4 years of commuting from the South Bay, I was extremely fortunate to obtain a position at Mira Costa in 2008. Since I began teaching I have always coached baseball. Most of my spare time during the school year I can be found on Costa's baseball field where currently I'm an assistant on the Varsity squad.
During my free time I enjoy spending time with my wife and 4 1/2 year old son. I enjoy surfing, fishing, hanging out at the beach, and traveling. I also have become an avid runner in the past 5 years and have completed over 12 marathons. Most of my spare time this year I will be training for the pinnacle of my running career...qualifying for the Boston Marathon.
I'm looking forward to getting to know each and every one of you during the course of this year. As we begin the semester, please remember that the will to prepare is far more important than the will to succeed.
