I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in History at the University of California, Los Angeles. My love for history grew when I studied abroad with my UCLA professor in Rome, Italy. It is one thing to read or hear about historical beauty and significance, but it is a completely different experience to see the monuments, buildings, and artifacts in person. That experience inspired me to be a teacher and also now to lead an annual trip to Italy for Costa students in hopes that they would find the same level of inspiration and enlightenment. As a history teacher, I hope to instill in my students an appreciation for history-to look past the names and dates to truly understand the authenticity and relevance of it.
When I am not teaching at school, I coach figure skating after school. In my spare time, I also enjoy traveling, snowboarding, kickboxing/boxing, and trying out new restaurants and cuisines.
