STUDENT INFO
· Chris Stretch, Mindset and Performance Coach, will be giving a presentation titled, The Conspiracy Against Authenticity – the setup in our culture that makes it really hard for you to actually like yourself…, TODAY during AM Office Hours in the small theater.
· Audition packets for the Spring Musical, OKLAHOMA, are now available in the Drama Room 1. Audition forms are due by Thrusday, Dec. 15 to Ms. Mathews in Room 1.
· PLEASE Donate your old shoes to Soles4Souls! Together with Grades of Green and Waste Management, we will be collecting shoes Dec. 4 – 16 for “Soles4Souls.” Bring your old (gently used) shoes and help us put shoes on the feet of over 300 million children around the world who are shoeless. Look for collection bins in the school office and around campus. Please tie laces together or rubber band to keep shoes in pairs. Thank you!
· Office Hours Days: If you are unable to check in for Office Hours TODAY, go to the administrative office for assistance.
· Art Club will be holding a winter-themed art show in the art gallery, Room 60, during finals week. If you would like to have your art featured, submit your work any time before next Thursday, or come to Art Club in Room 62 this Thursday for more information.
· South Africa Trip – Spring Break 2018: Enrollment is now open for this life-changing adventure! Act now, space is limited to the first 18 sign-ups, and the early enrollment discount will expire soon. See Mr. Cox in room 410 any day at lunch or during PM office hours on Wednesdays for information. Email [email protected] if you’re unable to attend.
· Need Community Service hours? Our last Lunches with Love delivery of the year is Sunday, Dec. 11. We feed the homeless on Skid Row with your bagged lunches. If you can, we are asking to put a pair of socks in each bagged lunch. · Students: Did you know the Student Store has school supplies? If you are running low on filler paper, pens or folders, stop by during snack or lunch. We also have a variety of sweatshirts on hand to keep you warm or for your holiday gifts.
· Last chance to see Mazzy MacGregor’s Art Show! It’s in the Gallery Room 60, and closes TODAY. If you like street art, we hope you’ll enjoy this!
SPORTS
· Boys’ Indoor Volleyball tryouts: Thrusday, Dec. 8 in the Costa Gym at 5 pm. Returning and new players.

CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS
· Pink Ribbon Club will have a meeting this Thursday in Room 78.
· This Saturday, Children’s Hospital LA Club will have a bake sale from 10 am to 3 pm on the Hermosa Beach Pier. All proceeds go to buying toys for Children’s Hospital, so please stop by.
· This Thursday is the second monthly BSU Movie Night. We will be watching and discussing the movie Freedom Riders. This will be in Room 74 from 4 pm to 7 pm, and snacks are provided. Everyone is welcome, so come and bring a friend. Attendance will also count as community service hours for students in Health class.
· Creative Writing Club meets this Thursday at lunch in Room 207. Drop on by!
· Mental Health Awareness Club: Come to Room 21 Tuesdays to learn about mental health, how to de-stress and, more importantly, how to spread awareness about these struggles
· Black Scholars Union meets every Thursday in Room 74 at lunch. We have several new initiatives for this year that we would love for you to be a part of. All new members are welcome!
· Drama Club is every Wednesday (TODAY) in the Drama Room 1 at lunch. Learn all about what is going on in the Drama/Tech Department.
· Beach Cities Robotics will be holding a fundraiser at Lakewood Ice Rink. Tickets are $15, and proceeds will be donated to Girls Who Code. For more information on purchasing tickets, please speak to Pavle Medvidovic in Room 116 during lunch.
· Come on out to support Mira Costa Dance Company’s sweet victory, winter show! It will be held on Thursday, Dec. 8 at 7 pm in the small auditorium. Tickets are $10.

· The CCC will close at 3:30pm TODAY, Dec. 7. Please plan accordingly.
· SoCal Roc is now enrolling for the spring semester. Classes begin Monday, Feb. 6. Sign up in the CCC to speak with a SCROC advisor and pick up an application.
