STUDENT INFO
· Students: Did you know the Student Store has school supplies? If you are running low on filler paper, pens or folders, stop by during snack or lunch. We also have a variety of sweatshirts on hand to keep you warm or for your holiday gifts.
· Office Hours Days: If you are unable to check in for Office Hours on Wednesday, go to the administrative office for assistance.
· The Drama Department’s annual Holiday Benefit will be held Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 7 pm iin Room 1. The $5 donation goes towards our Adopt-a-family.
· Staff and Students – TODAY is our final approval meeting for checks and reimbursements for the 2016 calendar year. If you have any items that need to be paid, bring original receipts with your completed and signed Check Request form to Mrs. Cessor in the Student Store before noon TODAY.
· Come see Mazzy MacGregor’s Art Show! It’s in the Gallery Room 60, and is open TODAY through Wednesday. If you like street art, we hope you’ll enjoy this!
· Boys’ Tennis Tryouts for all new players will be held Tuesday Dec. 6, Wednesday Dec. 7 and Thursday Dec. 8 from 3 – 5 pm at the Mira Costa tennis courts. Tryouts are mandatory, and players must attend all three days. If you have a conflict, please contact Coach Ciasulli directly at [email protected].

SPORTS
· Interested in joining the Badminton Team in the spring? Come to Mr. Kelley’s room in Room 332 in the Math & Science building at lunch TODAY to learn more about the exciting sport and how to join the team.
FACULTY

CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS
· Did you come from another school district? Bring your lunch and come to Ambassador Club TODAY at lunch in Room 21 to meet other students and become better acquainted with the school. Let’s have a great year!
· Come out to support Mira Costa Dance Company’s sweet victory, winter show! It will be held on Thursday, Dec. 8 at 7 pm in the small auditorium. Tickets are $10.
· Mental Health Awareness Club: Come to Room 21 Tuesdays to learn about mental health, how to de-stress and, more importantly, how to spread awareness about these struggles
· Black Scholars Union meets every Thursday in Room 74 at lunch. We have several new initiatives for this year that we would love for you to be a part of. All new members are welcome!
· Come to Lend a Hand Club on Fridays in Room 72 at lunch to find out when we are going to Skid Row to feed the homeless!
COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
· Upcoming College Visits – Please sign up on Naviance. If visit is during class, please ask your teacher for permission to attend.

o Wednesday, 12/7 – El Camino College at 9:27am/AM Office Hours (Information and application workshop)
· The CCC will close at 3:30pm on Dec. 7. Please plan accordingly.
· SoCal Roc is now enrolling for the spring semester. Classes begin Monday, Feb. 6. Sign up in the CCC to speak with a SCROC advisor and pick up an application.
