· Are you creative? How about courageous? Apply for the 2016 Clinton Family Social Inclusion Grant for up to $5,000. In order to qualify, your proposal must inspire productive and honest dialogues about race and other distinguishing characteristics that should be celebrated, not hated. The deadline has been extended to October 21, so don’t miss this excellent opportunity! Grant winners will be notified by mid-November. · Mental Health Awareness Week is October 3rd – 8th! Wear purple on Wednesday to show support and come to Headstrong Club Tuesdays at lunch in Room 21 to learn more!
· Attention last year’s Marine Science students: There may be space for you on this year’s Catalina Odyssey sailing trip. Come see Mr. Smith to learn how to get your spot on the pirate ship.
· Lions, Tigers and Sharks? (oh my)… Discover South Africa over Spring Break 2018. Informational meeting for students and parents on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 7 pm in Room 232 (math/science bldg.) See Mr. Cox in Room 410 any day during lunch or email [email protected] for more info on this life-changing adventure.
· It’s time for our California Scholarship Federation membership drive. If you are a Sophomore, Junior or Senior who had excellent grades in June, you may be eligible. The membership drive continues through Oct. 7. Applications can be found in Room 243. If you don’t know what CSF is, then come to lab Room 243 in the science building at snack or lunch during the two-week membership drive to get more information. Sorry, freshmen will not be eligible until they have received their first semester high school grades.

· Come to the pool TODAY to watch your D1 - Mustang Water Polo teams take on Foothill High School! Frosh/Soph plays at 3ppm, Varsity and JV games follow. The “World Famous Snack Shack” will be open at 2pm – Root Beer Floats, Quesadillas, Hamburgers…YUM!

· Mental Health Awareness Club: Come to Room 21 Tuesdays to learn about mental health and, more importantly, how to spread awareness about these struggles.
· Come to Reflections on Mondays in Room 207. We publish your poetry and photography.
· Headstrong Club is every Tuesday at lunch in Room 21! Come raise awareness for Mental Health, get involved in creating Costa’s stress plan, and meet supportive and awesome people!
· Come to Pink Ribbon Club on Thursdays in Room 78.
· Come to Chess Club to play chess or just hang out every Thursday at lunch in Room 14, across from the Library.
