STUDENT INFO
· New Zealand, Australia & Fiji 2017 meeting on Wednesday 9/7 at lunch in Room 72.
· Spain 2017 first lunch meeting of the year in Room 70 TODAY! Still spots left, so come on by for more info!
· If you have never eaten at Big Wok or Amigos Tacos…if you don’t know your way around town…then you are probably new to our school district and we would love to meet you! Please come to the Ambassador Club this Wednesday in Room 21 at lunch to hang out and become acquainted with Costa and MB. We will have free food and make sure you have an awesome year!
· Any student interested in traveling to Costa Rica over Spring Break 2017, there are still spots available. Lunch meeting on Thursday 9/8 in Room 47 for interested students, or see Mr. Chow any time.
· ASB: Hey students, go follow the new Instagram to learn about things going on around campus. @asbmustangs.
· Class of 2017! Senior shirts are now available in the Student Store! Come check them out!
· Are you creative? How about courageous? Apply for the 2016 Clinton Family Social Inclusion Grant for up to $5,000. In order to qualify, your proposal must inspire productive and honest dialogues about race and other distinguishing characteristics that should be celebrated, not hated. CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS
· Nothing to do on Wednesdays during lunch? Come to Drama Club in Room 1 to learn about all the upcoming events in the Drama Department.
· Come to Improv Club every Tuesday (TODAY) at lunch in the Drama Room 1 to laugh your arms off! Ha ha!
· Mental Health Awareness Club: Come to Room 21 Tuesdays (TODAY) to learn about mental health and, more importantly, how to spread awareness about these struggles.
SPORTS
· Come try out for MAC Junior Rowing starting Sep. 12! Get on the water and join over 100 other LA area high school students on your way to fun, fitness and competitive success in this challenging and exciting sport! Go to www.macrowing.org for more info!
· Come try out for Girls’ Basketball this Wednesday 9/7 at 5:30 pm at MBMS!
· Boys’ Basketball tryouts for all 9th – 11th graders will be TODAY, Tuesday, Sept. 6 and Thursday Sept. 8 from 6:00 – 7:30 pm at Manhattan Beach Middle School. 12th graders, please attend the Varsity workout from 4:30 – 6:00 pm at MBMS on September 6 or 8. CCC Updates
The CCC will now be open from 8 am until 7 pm. We hope you can take advantage of the extra hours and our extended services!
After Hours Walk-in Application support: Wednesdays in September will be walk-in application support from 3-7 pm. Come work on your college applications and personal statements with support from a CCC counselor. Bring a device or reserve one in the CCC.

SoCal ROC: Natalie Hansen from SoCal ROC will be available in the CCC from 8:30-Snack on Mondays. Sign up for an appointment in the CCC. Classes begin on Monday, September 12.
