STUDENT INFO
· Former Laker Sasha Vujacic will be speaking about lessons learned playing professional basketball during the "This Is Costa" assembly on Wednesday at lunch in Mustang Mall.
· AP Students: Rosters for any students taking Late AP Exams have now been posted on the front windows of the Administration Building showing revised room assignments and times. Pease check the rosters ASAP even if you’ve previously checked the windows. If you’re supposed to take a Late Exam and do not see your name, please see Ms. Norris in the office immediately.
· 10th Graders: You have CST testing tomorrow (Wednesday, May 18). Please be sure to check the windows of the administration building for your room assignments no later than TODAY. Plan to arrive early tomorrow and be in your testing room by 8 am at the latest. Bring a book for when you are finished.
· Model UN: Mandatory meeting TODAY at lunch in Room 201 for all MUNers going to Davis. Final details for trip will be discussed.
· If you submitted Artwork for the All-Media Art Show, please pick up your work in Room 62.
· Forget if you paid for a Yearbook? You’re not alone! Complete lists of those who’ve paid are on the MCHS website under News section.
· Need to improve your reading and writing skills? Need help with summer reading? Sign up for the summer school class “Summer Reading: A Study of the Selected Literature.” It is only three weeks on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 – 6:30 pm. The course is designed to guide you through the reading and hone your skills.
SPORTS
· Mira Costa Hockey: The Mira Costa hockey team beat Redondo with an 8-3 win on Thursday night. Bryce Tournat had three goals; Jack St. Ivany had two goals; while Mike Gallagher, Ryan Ng, and Roberto Knampfer had a goal each. Come out and watch the team take on Beverly Hills on Thursday, May 19 at 6:30 pm at the Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo.
CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS
· Latino Scholars Union meets TODAY at lunch in Room 73. Everyone is welcome!
· Fly on over to Improv Club TODAY at lunch. We will make your day at least seven times better.
· The Library Club meets in the library lunch room during lunch TODAY. Everyone is welcome.
· Come to Drama Club every Wednesday in Room 1 at lunch. Beyoncé will be performing her new album (maybe).
COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
· Visits – U.S. Marines Scholarship Opportunities Session TODAY, May 17 at 12:20 pm; SMC appointments on Wednesday, May 25 at 11:25 am – 12:20 pm, please sign up for your time slot in the CCC.

· SCROC (SoCal Roc) has started enrollment for the fall semester. Sign up in the College and Career Center to speak with a SCROC advisor and pick up an application.
SENIORS
· Senior Clearance Deadline is May 20. Please bring copies of the following to the CCC: 1. Updated Naviance college admissions results. 2. Completed senior survey. 3. Acceptance letter from the school you will attend. This process will ensure your final transcript will be sent to the school you plan to attend in the fall.
· El Camino bound students – After you take your assessment test, your next step towards priority registration is to meet with an ECC Counselor. There will be an ECC Counselor available in the CCC to meet with you through the month of May on Fridays from 12:20 – 2:40 pm. Sign up for your appointment in the CCC now.
