STUDENT INFO
• There will be a quick meeting discussing next year’s Astrophysics class during PM office hours on Wednesday, 3/23, in Room 248. Any junior or senior interested should attend to hear Mr. Bartlett talk the talk.
• Reminder that the Sadie’s Dance and Game Night is this Saturday, 3/19, at 7 pm at the DoubleTree Hotel in Torrance. Don’t forget to bring your ID for check-in.
• Attention students! The final count for Sadie Hawkins was given to the venue on Monday, and the bill was paid. Unfortunately, there are no tickets left. If you have tickets, this is a friendly reminder that the venue in Torrance has free parking!
• TONIGHT! Boys Volleyball takes on Loyola at Loyola Marymount University (LMU)*. Come support our team in the biggest game of the season. If you only go to one volleyball match all year, THIS is the ONE. Varsity plays at 7 pm, JV at 5:30 and F/S at 4 pm. We’re expecting 2,000 – 3,000 fans…get there early and wear green!! *Note venue correction.

SPORTS
• Mira Costa Boys’ Lacrosse: The boys’ varsity and JV lacrosse teams finish up their successful week with a game TONIGHT at Oak Park. Both teams had wins this week against Culver City (Monday) and El Segundo (Wednesday).
• Mira Costa Hockey: Come out to watch Mira Costa’s first hockey game of the season this TONIGHT vs. El Segundo. Game time is 6:30 pm at the Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo.

• If you are interested in speaking or performing at graduation or senior recognition, pick up an application in the main office or Room 15. Apps are due 3/31 to Ms. Owen.
CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS
• The Geeks Club meets in the Library Lunchroom TODAY. We will be working on planning for the March 24 maker fair.
• Me to We Club: Come every Tuesday to Room 76 for service hours and support education in Kenya!

TESTING/WORKSHOPS
• Applerouth is offering an SAT prep class at MCHS that will lead directly into the June 4 official SAT date. You will receive a 12-hour, structured review of major SAT concepts and strategies. Test guides & session notes are provided to help simplify the studying process. Additionally, after each mock test, you will receive a detailed results analysis to help you chart your own unique course towards mastering the test.

• PJ Test Prep is offering a free SAT or ACT practice test on April 2 from 10:00 am – 2:05 pm. Location is the Holiday Inn Express Hermosa Beach; please RSVP at www.pjtestprep.com/rsvp. Students and/or parents return later that afternoon (5:45 – 6:45 pm) to get the results, learn free test strategy tips and find out all about the ACT and new SAT! Questions, please call 310-529-7285.
• Revolution Prep is offering a free ACT or SAT full-length mock exam on Mar. 19 at MCHS from 9 am – 11pm. To register, email Jean Stroud at [email protected]. Revolution Prep is also offering a student/parent presentation, “An Insider’s Guide to College Prep,” on Mar. 23 in the CCC from 9:30 – 10:20 am. Please sign up on Naviance for the presentation. Each student who registers for and attends the mock exam this weekend will receive a $250 gift card from Revolution Prep, good towards tutoring or test prep classes.
SENIORS
• El Camino bound students – After you take your assessment test, your next step towards priority registration is to meet with an ECC Counselor. During the month of March there will be an ECC Counselor available in the CCC to meet with you on Thursdays from 12:20 – 2:40 pm. Sign up for your appointment in the CCC now.
