STUDENT INFO
· AP Students: Registration for the Advanced Placement exams will take place Feb. 1 – Feb. 5 during lunch only at the student store. The registration fee is $97 per exam. Late registration will be held Feb. 8 – Feb. 12 during lunch only at the student store, but an extra $15 late fee for each exam will be charged. Be sure to bring your completed blue worksheet indicating the exams you will be taking, cash or check made out to MCHS for the registration fee, and a pen to complete the actual registration form.
· Be sure to buy your Winter Formal tickets by this Friday, Jan. 29!
· The library will be open until 2:30 pm TODAY and will close at the end of school on Friday.
· Students in fall semester classes should return their books to the library as soon as they finish finals. Students can check out spring semester books as soon as any outstanding fall books are returned. Please be sure to have your ID or a photo on your phone to check out books.
- The Neptunian Woman's Club of Manhattan Beach is sponsoring its 38th Student Art and Photography Contest for grades K-5 (art) and 6-12 (art and photography). Entry forms are available in the front office. Deadline for submission to the school office is February 22, 2016 before 3 pm. An awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at 1 pm in the Neptunian clubhouse.

- Multi-District Service Academy Day - The office of Congressman Ted Lieu is hosting this event for students 8th -11th grade, parents, and educators. Listen to speakers from the United States Air Force Academy, United States Military Academy, United States Naval Academy, parents, and current attendees at each of the Service Academies. Representatives from multiple Southern California Congressional Offices will be available to answer all of your academy-related questions. Sunday, Feb. 21, from 1 pm – 4 pm:

· SoCal Roc is beginning spring enrollment with classes beginning Feb.1. Schedules are available in the CCC. Sign up in the CCC to meet with the SoCal Roc Counselor or drop in on Mondays during snack.
FREE TESTING
· Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors & Parents: Come to an informative presentation in the CCC on Feb. 3 during morning office hours reviewing the ins and outs of the SAT, ACT and PSAT presented by Applerouth. Students, sign up on Naviance so we can get a head count (under “upcoming college visits”). All grade levels and parents are welcome to attend.

· PJ TEST PREP is offering free practice SAT, New SAT and ACT tests on Jan. 30 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at the LAX Holiday Inn Express. SENIORS
· El Camino Assessment Testing at MCHS – If you are planning to attend El Camino College, you have an opportunity to complete your assessment testing at MCHS. Testing will take place on Thursday, Feb. 11 at 10:00 am – 12:30 pm in Room 241. Reserve your spot on Naviance; seating is limited. Please bring your El Camino Student ID.
