STUDENT INFO
- Come by the library to get your game on! We’re celebrating International Gaming Day, and we have lots of board games out in the Library that you can play!
- Please note that the Library will close at 2 pm TODAY. Please plan ahead and make sure to get any books for the break before then. Happy Thanksgiving!
- Student Store Open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays! We are selling Costa gear, office supplies and more coming soon! Located across the quad from Rooms 101 & 102. Any questions, contact Lisa Claypoole in ASB.
- Freshmen Football Players: The Frosh Football Awards Banquet is Tuesday, Dec. 1 in the cafeteria. See Coach Currier or Contact Mrs. Vabrey by TODAY to RSVP. Let’s celebrate an excellent season.
- Interested in going to London for Spring Break for 10 days? See Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Hampton Court, the bloody tower of London, Stonehenge and Windsor Castle. See major shows such as Phantom of the Opera, Les Misérables, the London Philharmonic at the Royal Albert Hall, possibly a Premier league football match and more! SPORTS
- Football pre-sale tickets are on sale in the Student Store during lunch TODAY. Adults $10, Students/Children, $5.
- Boys Tennis Tryouts for all new players will be held Tuesday, Dec. 1, Wednesday, Dec. 2, and Thursday, Dec. 3 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at the Mira Costa tennis courts. Players must attend all three days. If you have a conflict, please contact Coach Ciasulli directly at [email protected].
- Boys Tennis Tryouts for all returning players will be held Wednesday, Dec. 2, and Thursday, Dec. 3 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at the Mira Costa tennis courts. Tryouts are mandatory and players must attend both days. If you have a conflict, please contact Coach Ciasulli directly at [email protected].
SENIORS
- The next deadline for senior ads is TODAY, Friday, 11/20. Turn in your completed senior ad form and money to Room 49 or Ms. Park’s mailbox to save money.
CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS
- The Geeks Club meets in the Library lunchroom during lunch TODAY. Everyone is welcome.
- Come to Hermosa Beach Pier Avenue this Saturday to support the Pink Ribbon Club Bake Sale. All money raised goes to Torrance Memorial Hospital for breast cancer patients.
- Want to learn or experience different cultures Costa has to offer? Come to Room 52 every Monday for Cultures Unite.
- Come to our Mustangs4change meeting TODAY in room 248 at lunch to learn how you can help refugees in Chad.
- Please support BSU and go to Menchies any time from Nov. 6 to Nov. 23. Go get some frozen yogurt, but don’t forget to mention BSU.
COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
- SENIORS – College application deadlines are approaching! Come to the CCC for one on one help with a CCC Counselor – walk in or make an appointment. Drop off your personal statements in the CCC to have a college counselor review it. Be sure to include the prompt and your email address.
- College Representative Visits – Please sign-up on Naviance
- Weds. 12/2 – Air Force Academy (9:27 am). Representative will discuss the Air Force Academy and ROTC Scholarships.
- SMC and El Camino Application Workshops – Complete your application with help from SMC and El Camino counselors. Computers will be available. Please sign up on Naviance.
- Tuesday 12/1 – Santa Monica College, 11:25 am (The counselor will stay through lunch for questions.)

- Test Prep Information
- Princeton Review New SAT Practice Exam at Mira Costa on Dec. 5, 9:00 am – 1:30 pm. Please register at http://www.princetonreview.com/product/offerings/275923
- PJ TEST PREP is offering free practice SAT, New SAT and ACT tests on December 5th from 10:00am – 2:00 pm at the Hermosa Beach Holiday Inn Express.
