STUDENT INFO
- If you forgot to turn in your app to Room 44 on November 13th, The Poetry Out Loud deadline is now extended until the end of the week
- ASB Student Store officially opens this week!! Open Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Fridays at lunch. Office hours it will be open during the AM Hour and Lunch. Student Store is located across the quad from rooms 101 & 102.
- TEDX is coming to Costa this Wednesday! Make sure to stop by during the second office hours in the small theatre to hear speakers talk about stress management.
- If you traveled to Germany, Prague and Switzerland last year (2015), we are having a reunion lunch on 11/19 in Room 15.
- Interested in going to London for Spring Break for 10 days? See Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Hampton Court, the bloody tower of London, Stonehenge and Windsor Castle. See major shows such as Phantom of the Opera, Les Misérables, the London Philharmonic at the Royal Albert Hall, possibly a Premier league football match and more! If interested, email your London Native tour guide, Mr. Lewis, at [email protected] for a trip flyer and further details on how you can visit the greatest city in the world! Trip limited to 10 students, so hurry!
CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS
- Art Club will be meeting on Wednesday at Lunch in Room 62! New members are welcome!
- Come to the Creative Writing Club! We meet every Thursday at lunch in Room 207. See you there!
- Come on down to room 1 at lunch on Wednesday for Drama Club! We will be discussing important holiday events and performances!
- Dive on in to the Drama room 1 during the second office hours for noontimetheater: People will be performing funny holiday scenes!
- Come to Pink Ribbon Club every Thursday in Room 78, Ms. Guerrero! We make care packages for cancer patients at the Torrance Memorial Hospital.
- The Library Club meets in the library lunch room during lunch today. We will have a visiting librarian from the Manhattan Beach Library. Everyone is welcome.
- We’re going round 2 with Edgar Allan Poe this week at It’s Lit Club. Flock like ravens to Room 21 this Wednesday at lunch.
- Don’t pout about being in a drought, come to the Water Conservation Club and learn how you can save water in our community! Meetings every Wednesday in Room 46!
- Come to Investor’s Club every Tuesday in Room 225.
- Please support BSU and go to Menchies any time from Nov. 6 to Nov. 23. Go get some frozen yogurt, but don’t forget to mention BSU.
COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
- SENIORS - College application deadlines are approaching! Come to the CCC for one on one help with a CCC Counselor – walk in or make an appointment. Drop off your personal statements in the CCC to have a college counselor review it. Be sure to include the prompt and your email address.
- Attention SENIORS interested in aerospace engineering—there will be an informational meeting regarding the Northrop Grumman HIP (High School Involvement Program) on Tuesday, November 17th (TODAY)during lunch in the CCC. This opportunity is for seniors only & you must be available Monday-Thursday from 1-3pm during spring semester 2016. Snacks will be served!

PJ TEST PREP is offering free practice SAT, New SAT, and ACT tests on December 5th from 10:00am – 2:oopm at the Hermosa Beach Holiday Inn Express.
