STUDENT INFO

  • The PTSA Reflections Art Contest deadline is rapidly approaching. This Friday, Nov. 13, is the last day to submit any art entry to Ms. Gardner in the Admin Bldg. Contest rules and forms are in the Admin Office or are available from your VAPA teacher.
  • Poetry Out Loud Apps are due by 3 pm in Room 44 on Friday, Nov. 13. Don’t miss out on this contest – it’s gonna be sweet!
  • Interested in traveling to Spain over Spring Break, 2017? Come find out more on Friday at lunch in Room 70!
  • Interested in going to London for Spring Break for 10 days? See Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Hampton Court, the bloody tower of London, Stonehenge and Windsor Castle. See major shows such as Phantom of the Opera, Les Misérables, the London Philharmonic at the Royal Albert Hall, possibly a Premier league football match and more! If interested, email your London Native tour guide, Mr. Lewis, at [email protected] for a trip flyer and further details on how you can visit the greatest city in the world! Trip limited to 10 students, so hurry!
  • The Pennekamp Father/Daughter Dance is Nov. 14, and they need student volunteers! If you are free anytime from 4:30 – 8:00 pm, they would love the help! Contact Dr. Brown at Pennekamp.
  • Picnic opened last Friday in the New Theatre at 7:30 pm and runs through this Saturday. Tickets are $10 for students & $12 for adults, on sale at lunch in the Mustang Mall, or visit www.miracostadramaboosters.org.

CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS  

  • Don’t forget to come to Creative Writing Club Thursdays (TODAY) at lunch in Room 207. See you there!
  • Come to ASL (American Sign Language) Club this Friday in Room 232 Math/Science Building.
  • Come to Richstone Club TODAY in Room 207 during lunch and learn how you can make a change in your community.
  • Beach Volleyball Tournament! Sunday 11/15 – Fundraiser is $5 per person, 4 people per team. Themed dress up encouraged! Contact Ceca, Amelie or Rio at (310) 977-9664 to sign up! All proceeds go to nonprofit organizations. Hope to see you there!
  • Come to Pink Ribbon Club every Thursday (TODAY) in Room 78 to discuss upcoming events we plan to have!
  • Please support BSU and go to Menchies any time from Nov. 6 to Nov. 23. Go get some frozen yogurt, but don’t forget to mention BSU.

COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER

  • SENIORS – College application deadlines are approaching! Come to the CCC for one on one help with a CCC Counselor – walk in or make an appointment.
  • Attention SENIORS interested in aerospace engineering—there will be an informational meeting regarding the Northrop Grumman HIP (High School Involvement Program) on Tuesday, Nov. 17 during lunch in the CCC. This opportunity is for seniors only, and you must be available Monday through Thursday from 1 – 3 pm during spring semester 2016. Snacks will be served!
