- The PTSA Reflections Art Contest deadline is rapidly approaching. This Friday, Nov. 13, is the last day to submit any art entry to Ms. Gardner in the Admin Bldg. Contest rules and forms are in the Admin Office or are available from your VAPA teacher.
- Poetry Out Loud Apps are due by 3 pm in Room 44 on Friday, Nov. 13. Don’t miss out on this contest – it’s gonna be sweet!
- There’s no school on Wednesday, Nov. 11, so head over to Corner Bakery in the Manhattan Village Mall any time of day. Visit www.miracostawrestling.com & find the flyer, “Nov. 11, Corner Bakery” under the Fundraising tab. Or take a picture of one in class. Print it out or show it on your phone.
- Interested in traveling to Spain over Spring Break, 2017? Come find out more on Friday at lunch in Room 70!
- Interested in going to London for Spring Break for 10 days? See Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Hampton Court, the bloody tower of London, Stonehenge and Windsor Castle. See major shows such as Phantom of the Opera, Les Misérables, the London Philharmonic at the Royal Albert Hall, possibly a Premier league football match and more! - The Mira Costa Drumline is looking for a drumset player and a synthesizer player for their winter competitive season. If you have piano or drumset experience and want to play an amazing show with an amazing group, come see Joel Carlson in Room 4 or email [email protected].
- The Pennekamp Father/Daughter Dance is Nov. 14, and they need student volunteers! If you are free anytime from 4:30 – 8:00 pm, they would love the help! Contact Dr. Brown at Pennekamp.
- Picnic opened last Friday in the New Theatre at 7:30 pm and runs through this Saturday. Tickets are $10 for students & $12 for adults, on sale at lunch in the Mustang Mall, or visit www.miracostadramaboosters.org.

- Last chance to try out for Boys Soccer: Meet Coach Smith on the field by the tennis courts at 3:00 pm TODAY, Tuesday, Nov. 10. Come ready to play.
CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS
- The Library Club meets in the library lunchroom during lunch TODAY. Everyone is welcome.
- Come to Leo Club TODAY at lunch in Room 131 (Ms. Singh’s room). Get volunteer hours and become an officer next year!
- Come to Together We Tutor TODAY at lunch in Room 19! Come to Investor’s Club every Tuesday (TODAY) in Mr. Geczi’s Room 225. We will be helping students gain lifelong investment skills. So, if you are interested in working in the business world, make sure to stop by.
- Come to Pink Ribbon Club every Thursday in Room 78 to discuss upcoming events we plan to have!
- Beach Volleyball Tournament! Sunday 11/15 – Fundraiser is $5 per person, 4 people per team. Themed dress up encouraged! Contact Ceca, Amelie or Rio at (310) 977-9664 to sign up! All proceeds go to nonprofit organizations. Hope to see you there!
- Please support BSU and go to Menchies any time from Nov. 6 to Nov. 23. Go get some frozen yogurt, but don’t forget to mention BSU.
- Come to Jewish Cultural Club TODAY at lunch in Room 200. Learn about the people of Israel and the culture surrounding the religion. All are welcome.
- Come somersault your way over to Drama Club this Wednesday in Room 1! Everyone is welcome.
- Come to TASSEL Club this TODAY, Tuesday 11/10, in Room 17 at lunch to help Cambodian children.
COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
- SENIORS – College application deadlines are approaching! Come to the CCC for one on one help with a CCC Counselor – walk in or make an appointment.
- Attention SENIORS interested in aerospace engineering—there will be an informational meeting regarding the Northrop Grumman HIP (High School Involvement Program) on Tuesday, Nov. 17 during lunch in the CCC. This opportunity is for seniors only, and you must be available Monday through Thursday from 1 – 3 pm during spring semester 2016. Snacks will be served!
