STUDENT INFO           

  • There’s no school on Wednesday, Nov. 11, so head over to Corner Bakery in the Manhattan Village Mall any time of day. Visit www.miracostawrestling.com & find the flyer, “Nov. 11, Corner Bakery” under the Fundraising tab. Or take a picture of one in class. Print it out or show it on your phone.
  • Interested in traveling to Spain over Spring Break, 2017? Come find out more on Friday at lunch in Room 70!
  • Interested in going to London for Spring Break for 10 days? See Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Hampton Court, the bloody tower of London, Stonehenge and Windsor Castle. See major shows such as Phantom of the Opera, Les Misérables, the London Philharmonic at the Royal Albert Hall, possibly a Premier league football match and more! If interested, email your London Native tour guide, Mr. Lewis, at [email protected] for a trip flyer and further details on how you can visit the greatest city in the world! Trip limited to 10 students, so hurry!
  • The Mira Costa Drumline is looking for a drumset player and a synthesizer player for their winter competitive season. If you have piano or drumset experience and want to play an amazing show with an amazing group, come see Joel Carlson in Room 4 or email [email protected].
  • The Pennekamp Father/Daughter Dance is Nov. 14, and they need student volunteers! If you are free anytime from 4:30 – 8:00 pm, they would love the help! Contact Dr. Brown at Pennekamp.
  • Picnic opened last Friday in the New Theatre at 7:30 pm and runs until next Saturday. Tickets are $10 for students & $12 for adults, on sale at lunch in the Mustang Mall, or visit www.miracostadramaboosters.org.

SPORTS          

  • Last chance to try out for Boys Soccer: Meet Coach Smith on the field by the tennis courts at 3:00 pm Tuesday, Nov. 10. Come ready to play.
  • Please support BSU and go to Menchies any time from Nov. 6 to Nov. 23. Go get some frozen yogurt, but don’t forget to mention BSU.
  • Tryouts for Boys Basketball will be 7-9 pm at Mira Costa TONIGHT. All Seniors interested in trying out should contact Coach Amaral directly at [email protected].

CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS  

  • Beach Volleyball Tournament! Sunday 11/15 – Fundraiser is $5 per person, 4 people per team. Themed dress up encouraged! Contact Ceca, Amelie or Rio at (310) 977-9664 to sign up! All proceeds go to nonprofit organizations. Hope to see you there!
  • Come take part in the future of our nation at Young Democrats Club in Room 48 (Ms. Park’s) on Mondays (TODAY) at lunch.
  • Come to Jewish Cultural Club Tuesday at lunch in Room 200. Learn about the people of Israel and the culture surrounding the religion. All are welcome.
  • Come somersault your way over to Drama Club this Wednesday in Room 1! Everyone is welcome.
  • Come to TASSEL Club this Tuesday (11/10) in Room 17 at lunch to help Cambodian children.
  • Girls Who Code meets TODAY from 3 to 4 pm in Room 116!
