STUDENT INFO           

  • Picnic opens this Friday in the New Theatre at 7:30 pm and runs until the next Saturday. Pre-sale tickets are $10 for students & $12 for adults, on sale at lunch in the Mustang Mall. Next week and at the door they will be $12 for students & $15 for adults.
  • Attention Freshmen! It's Thursday Night Football right here in Waller Stadium, 5 pm kick-off. Bring your homework and come support your freshmen football team as they look to finish a 10-0 season against rival Redondo. Admission is free, ample seating on the 50-yard line, and the snack stand will be open. Aerial coverage by the Goodyear Blimp. Check it out on the freshmen Facebook page. Go Mustangs!
  • Please note that the library will be closed throughout the school day TODAY due to hearing tests. It will reopen for the after school program from 3 pm – 5 pm.
  • Ping Pong Tournament has arrived!!! It starts TODAY!

SPORTS          

  • Tryouts for Boys Basketball will be 7-9 pm at Mira Costa on Monday, Oct. 9. All Seniors interested in trying out should contact Coach Amaral directly at [email protected].
  • Costa Rugby! There will be a meeting for all new and returning rugby players TODAY at lunch in Room 105.

CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS  

  • K-Pop and K-Drama Club will meet TODAY in Room 74 at lunch. We will be discussing Korean pop culture. Everyone is welcome.
  • There is a Mustangs4Change meeting this Friday at lunch in Room 248. Come and learn about how you can support refugees in Chad.
  • Come to Investor’s Club every Tuesday in Mr. Geczi’s Room 225. We will be helping students gain lifelong investment skills. So, if you are interested in working in the business world, make sure to stop by.
  • Come to Free the Children Club TODAY and every Thursday in Room 242. Our goal is to raise enough money to provide water for villages in underdeveloped countries.

  • SoCalRoc is now enrolling – Nine-week courses starting Nov. 9. Natalie Hansen, SoCalRoc counselor, will be in the CCC on Mondays 9:00 am – 10:20 am. Sign up in the CCC or just drop in.
  • Test Prep Information
    • New SAT & ACT Combination Practice Exam – at Manhattan Beach Library, 1320 Highland Ave., Manhattan Beach.  Saturday, Nov. 7, 11:00 am – 2:45 pm.  Become acquainted with the new SAT and check out the ACT exam as well with this comprehensive combination practice test. Space is limited, sign-up at the MB Library Information Desk. Score reveal and strategies session: Monday, Nov. 16 at 6:30 pm.
