· Mira Costa H.E.A.R.T. – Helping Educate Acts of Respect Together – meets TODAY during Office Hours, AM & PM, Room 105. Come help promote Random Acts of Kindness and give back to the Mira Costa Community.

· Mira Costa’s Costume Contest will be held Friday, 10/30, during nutrition on the outdoor stage. Winners and prizes will be announced at lunch! See you there.
· Ping Pong Tournament has arrived!!! Sign-ups are this week at lunch in the Mustang Mall on the stage. Sign-ups will continue on Monday 11/2 and Tuesday 11/3. Entry is $5. It will begin Wednesday, 11/4.
· Come to the Small Theater during Office Hours TODAY to hear how NOT to get into trouble on social media. You may not realize who is seeing that last post of yours!
· AUSTRALIA, NEW ZEALAND & FIJI 2017 meeting TODAY at lunch in room 72. Very few spots left!
· The Mira Costa History Project wants to know if you are the third generation of your family to attend Mira Costa. Please see Mr. Currier, Room 222, at your convenience.
· The Geeks Club and Library Club is hosting a “Maker Fair” in the library on Thursday, Oct. 29, from 3 pm to 5 pm. Have fun personalizing and printing a fun Halloween object on our 3D printer, creating a Halloween photo, experiencing Google Cardboard, making pinwheels to support students in Syria and more. And, to get in the mood, come by the library now to see some of your favorite teachers turned zombies, vampires and monsters. We’ll also have refreshments!

· Science Olympiad meets TODAY in Room 342.
· Come every Thursday to Room 78 for Pink Ribbon Club! We make care packages for cancer patients at the Torrance Memorial Hospital!

· Every year more than 3 million reports of child abuse are made in the United States alone. If you have a heart to make a difference in the life of an abused child, come to Room 23 at lunch this Friday for the first meeting of the Guardian Society Club!
· If you like story-telling and poetry, then you’ll like the Creative Writing Club! Come to Room 207 every Thursday at lunch. New members are always welcome!

· Test Prep Information
o New SAT & ACT Combination Practice Exam – at Manhattan Beach Library, 1320 Highland Ave., Manhattan Beach. Saturday, Nov. 7, 11:00 am – 2:45 pm. Become acquainted with the new SAT and check out the ACT exam as well with this comprehensive combination practice test. Space is limited; sign up at the MB Library Information Desk. Score reveal and strategies session: Monday, Nov. 16 at 6:30 pm.
