· Come to the Small Theater during Office Hours tomorrow to hear how NOT to get into trouble on social media. You may not realize who is seeing that last post of yours!
· France Trip 2016 participants: There is a very important lunch meeting TODAY in Room 206, Ms. Resnikoff’s room, for our spring break trip. Any seniors and juniors who have taken French in the past and wish to sign up are welcome to attend.
· AUSTRALIA, NEW ZEALAND & FIJI 2017 meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at lunch in room 72. Very few spots left!
· The Mira Costa History Project wants to know if you are the third generation of your family to attend Mira Costa. Please see Mr. Currier, Room 222, at your convenience.
· The Geeks Club and Library Club is hosting a “Maker Fair” in the library on Thursday, Oct. 29, from 3 pm to 5 pm. Have fun personalizing and printing a fun Halloween object on our 3D printer, creating a Halloween photo, experiencing Google Cardboard, making pinwheels to support students in Syria and more. And, to get in the mood, come by the library now to see some of your favorite teachers turned zombies, vampires and monsters. We’ll also have refreshments!
· Come to a lunch meeting TODAY to snag one of the few remaining spots for the Spring Break trip to Austria, Germany & Switzerland.
CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS
· If you like story-telling and poetry, then you’ll like the Creative Writing Club! Come to Room 207 every Thursday at lunch. New members are always welcome!
· Together We Tutor meets TODAY at lunch in Room 19!
· Come to Leo Club on Wednesday during lunch in Room 131. Earn community service hours and become a club officer next year!
· Come to Investor’s Club TODAY in Mr. Geczi’s Room 225. We will be helping students gain lifelong investment skills, so if you are interested in working in the business world, make sure to stop by.
· Come to Young Philosopher’s Society on Wednesday, 10/28 in Room 45 at lunch.
· Shakespeare Club meets TODAY at lunch in Ms. Vaughan’s Room 207. New members welcome.
· Come to Room 28 TODAY to help place final touches on Cultural Diversity Day.

· PSAT ROOM ASSIGNMENTS
If you registered to take the PSAT on Wednesday, Oct. 28, your room assignment is NOW posted in the window next to the main office.
· TEST DAY INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Report to your assigned room NO LATER than 7:45 am. Students who arrive after the test has begun will not be allowed to take the test.
2. Be sure to bring: two #2 pencils, student ID, calculator (any four-function scientific or graphing calculator) and your social security number (if you have one).

· SoCalRoc is Now Enrolling – Nine-week courses starting November 9. Natalie Hansen, SoCalRoc counselor will be in the CCC on Mondays 9:00 am – 10:20 am. Sign up in the CCC or just drop in.
· Test Prep Information
o New SAT & ACT Combination Practice Exam – at Manhattan Beach Library, 1320 Highland Ave., Manhattan Beach. Saturday, Nov. 7, 11:00 am – 2:45 pm. Become acquainted with the new SAT and check out the ACT exam as well with this comprehensive combination practice test. Space is limited; sign up at the MB Library Information Desk. Score reveal and strategies session: Monday, Nov. 16 at 6:30 pm.
o For Juniors taking the PSAT in October, Kaplan Test Prep will be hosting free online PSAT Cram Sessions to help students prepare for the upcoming New PSAT. Sessions will be offered at the end of September through October. To sign up for a Cram Session today, please visit kaptest.com/psatcram. Space is limited.
o Princeton Review is offering Free Mock SAT, ACT and PSAT tests at Mira Costa
