· AUSTRALIA, NEW ZEALAND & FIJI 2017 meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at lunch in room 72. Very few spots left!
· The Mira Costa History Project wants to know if you are the third generation of your family to attend Mira Costa. Please see Mr. Currier, Room 222, at your convenience.
· The Geeks Club and Library Club is hosting a “Maker Fair” in the library on Thursday, Oct. 29, from 3 pm to 5 pm. Have fun personalizing and printing a fun Halloween object on our 3D printer, creating a Halloween photo, experiencing Google Cardboard, making pinwheels to support students in Syria and more. And, to get in the mood, come by the library now to see some of your favorite teachers turned zombies, vampires and monsters. We’ll also have refreshments!
· Do you have any yearbook-worthy Instagram photos from football games, homecoming, or any other school-related activity? If so, just tag #thisiscosta2016 and you might just become #instafamous (in the yearbook).
· Come to a lunch meeting on Tuesday, 10/27 to snag one of the few remaining spots for the Spring Break trip to Austria, Germany & Switzerland.

· PSAT ROOM ASSIGNMENTS
If you registered to take the PSAT on Wednesday, Oct. 28, your room assignment is NOW posted in the window next to the main office.
· TEST DAY INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Report to your assigned room NO LATER than 7:45 am. Students who arrive after the test has begun will not be allowed to take the test.
2. Be sure to bring: two #2 pencils, student ID, calculator (any four-function scientific or graphing calculator) and your social security number (if you have one).

· SoCalRoc is Now Enrolling – Nine-week courses starting November 9. Natalie Hansen, SoCalRoc counselor will be in the CCC on Mondays 9:00 am – 10:20 am. Sign up in the CCC or just drop in.
· Test Prep Information
o New SAT & ACT Combination Practice Exam – at Manhattan Beach Library, 1320 Highland Ave., Manhattan Beach. Saturday, Nov. 7, 11:00 am – 2:45 pm. Become acquainted with the new SAT and check out the ACT exam as well with this comprehensive combination practice test. Space is limited; sign up at the MB Library Information Desk. Score reveal and strategies session: Monday, Nov. 16 at 6:30 pm.
o For Juniors taking the PSAT in October, Kaplan Test Prep will be hosting free online PSAT Cram Sessions to help students prepare for the upcoming New PSAT. Sessions will be offered at the end of September through October. To sign up for a Cram Session today, please visit kaptest.com/psatcram. Space is limited.
o Princeton Review is offering Free Mock SAT, ACT and PSAT tests at Mira Costa
