• Homecoming News
• This is Homecoming Week! Make sure to dress up for ‘merica Monday, Tie-Dye Tuesday, Class War Wednesday, Team Thursday and Super Stampede Friday. Come to the Mustang Mall at lunch to see your court compete all week long!
• The Homecoming Dance is this coming Saturday, Oct. 24! Hope to see you all there! Dress in attire from the decade of your choice.
• Tickets for the Homecoming Dance are on sale now. The last day to buy tickets is this Friday at 3:15 pm. Students with off-campus guests must have their forms in by 3 pm this Thursday. Tickets will be sold in the Student Store TODAY at lunch, Thursday during snack & lunch, and Friday during snack, lunch and from 6^th period until 3:15 pm.

Ticket Prices this week: $11 for singles with ASB marker; $13 without ASB marker.

   $20 for couples with ASB markers; $24 for couples without.

   $10/person for groups of 4 or more with ASB; $12/person for groups without.

• It's time for the PTSA Reflections Art Contest. This year's theme is Let Your Imagination Fly. Students are to create an original piece of work based on the theme in one of these categories: dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts. National winners earn cash prizes and recognition. New this year, we will also award winners in each category at Mira Costa. Participation rules and required entry forms are available in the Admin Office or from your Visual and Performing Arts teacher. Remember, you can enter as many categories with as many pieces as you like. Please submit your projects to Admin Office (Ms. Gardner or Ms. Hoffman) no later than Friday, Nov. 13.  If you have questions or comments, please contact Ms. Annie Han at [email protected]. • Italy 2016! There are a few spots left to travel to Venice, Florence and Rome during Spring Break 2016. Come by Ms. Choi’s Room 223 for more information.
• Coming this Nov. 4: Preview TedX Manhattan Beach at Costa! It’s time to be inspired!
• Come check out the new art show, “Shady People,” featuring portraits drawn by Art I students: Oct. 19-23 in the Art Gallery (Rm. 60) @ lunch.
• New update for Ms. Park’s tour over Spring Break: We will be traveling to Greece ONLY with a new lowered price! Spots are still available. Please come to a meeting TODAY in Room 48 at lunch.

FACULTY

• Dear Staff Members: If anyone is free TONIGHT between 6 pm and 8 pm to build eight new arches for the Homecoming Show, your assistance and tools would be appreciated. Feel free to bring a friend or spouse.

CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS  

• Sign up for the Manhattan Beach Skechers Friendship Circle Walk on 10/25! Register under the Mira Costa Mustangs’ team and donate the money to MBEF to benefit Mira Costa’s Friendship Circle Club! Sign up at skechersfriendshipwalk.com.
• Attention all students: Club forms were due Oct. 19, 2015. No new clubs will be formed until next school year. The next club council meeting is Tuesday, Nov. 17.
• Saving lives, preparing our communities for disasters and helping families in need is what we do! Come to Room 352B every Friday at lunch to join Red Cross Club.
• Science Olympiad meets TODAY at lunch in Room 342.
• K-Pop and K-Drama Club will meet this Thursday in Room 74 at lunch! We will discuss Korean pop culture. Everyone is welcome.
• Come to Cuipo Club in Room 207 (Ms. Vaughan’s Room) TODAY!
• Come to Richstone Club in Room 207 at lunch on Thursday and learn how you can make a change in the community.
• Come to Pink Ribbon Club every Thursday in Room 76 to make care packages for cancer patients! New members welcome!
• Attention Key Clubbers: Fall Rally is coming! Turn in $32 to the financial office by Thursday for your Six Flags admission and Key Club apparel. Really important to please pay by Thursday!
