Homecoming Week – ‘merica Monday

·         Homecoming News

o    The Homecoming Dance is this coming Saturday, Oct. 24! Hope to see you all there! Dress in attire from the decade of your choice.

o    This is Homecoming Week! Make sure to dress up for ‘merica Monday, Tie-Dye Tuesday, Class War Wednesday, Team Thursday and Super Stampede Friday. Come to the Mustang Mall at lunch to see your court compete all week long!

·         TEDx Information: Tickets available at lunch Monday (TODAY) through Thursday!

·         Come check out the new art show, “Shady People,” featuring portraits drawn by Art I students: Oct. 19-23 in the Art Gallery (Rm. 60) @ lunch.

  • If you want to be a part of the coolest trend on the campus (and soon, the world), please dress up for Waldo Wednesday!! You can also get extra credit in Mr. Geczi’s Econ classes. #jetta

·         College Speaker Rob Franek, Princeton Review’s Senior Vice President and Publisher and main author of the “Best 380 Colleges,” will be speaking at Redondo Union HS on Oct. 21 at 6 pm in the RUHS Auditorium.

·         SoCalRoc is Now Enrolling – Nine-week courses starting November 9. Natalie Hansen, SoCalRoc counselor will be in the CCC on Mondays 9:00 am – 10:20 am. Sign up in the CCC or just drop in.

·         Test Information

o    New SAT & ACT Combination Practice Exam – at Manhattan Beach Library, 1320 Highland Ave., Manhattan Beach.  Saturday, Nov. 7, 11:00 am – 2:45 pm. Become acquainted with the new SAT and check out the ACT exam as well with this comprehensive combination practice test. Space is limited; sign up at the MB Library Information Desk. Score reveal and strategies session: Monday, Nov. 16 at 6:30 pm.

o    For Juniors taking the PSAT in October, Kaplan Test Prep will be hosting free online PSAT Cram Sessions to help students prepare for the upcoming New PSAT. Sessions will be offered at the end of September through October. To sign up for a Cram Session today, please visit kaptest.com/psatcram. Space is limited. 

o    Princeton Review is offering Free Mock SAT, ACT and PSAT tests at Mira Costa
