STUDENT INFO           

  • Interested in traveling to Ireland, Scotland, and England during this year’s Spring Break? We have a few spots available. See Mr. Cox in Room 410 for details or email him at [email protected].
  • ITALY 2016!  If you are interested in traveling to Venice, Florence, and Rome during Spring Break, come to an informational meeting at lunch on Thursday, 9/3 in Ms. Choi’s room 223. Ciao!
  • Make sure you come by the stampede dance after the football game. Admission is free! It’s located in the foreign language patio.
  • We are back, folks. Daily Breaky incorporated is officially launching its new campaign. Stay tuned, and remember, a breaky a day keeps the doctor away.
  • If you are interested in traveling to Austria, Germany, & Switzerland Spring Break 2016, have your parents attend a meeting 9/10 at 6 pm in Room 15.
  • Audition packets are available in Room 1 for our fall drama season! We are doing two shows, Picnic & Check Please. See Ms. Mathews if you have questions.

SPORTS

  • Boys Basketball tryouts for lower level teams will be held TODAY, Sept. 3 from 3:30 to 5 pm at Manhattan Beach Middle School. Anyone who would like to try out for Varsity must contact Coach Amaral directly at [email protected].
  • Girls’ Soccer tryouts are this week, Aug. 31 – Sept. 4. Returners 2 – 3 pm and new players from 3 – 4 pm. Bring cleats, shin guards and running shoes. Meet at the bleachers.

FACULTY

  • Please excuse the Girls’ Tennis Team TODAY at 1:20 for an away match at Fountain Valley. Sorry for any inconvenience.

CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS  

  • People interested in starting a club or who already have a club: Come to the club council meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 8 in Room 40.
  • Want to learn how to sew, design clothing, and make garments? Join Fashion Club! Meetings are every Friday at lunch in Room 131. See ya there!
  • If you have any interest in the world of business, finance, and economics, come to Investor’s Club every Thursday in Mr. Geczi’s Room 225. We welcome new members and no prior experience is necessary.
  • Looking for community service hours? Key Club meets in Room 70 during lunch every Thursday. Our first official meeting will be this TODAY, Sept. 3. WE WILL HAVE COOKIES.
  • Love creative writing or photography? Submit your pieces to the school’s literary magazine at [email protected]. You can also join us on Mondays in Room 207.
  • By 2020, 1.4 million jobs will be available in computing-related fields, but only 3% are expected to be filled by women. Come to the Girls Only Coding Club (Room 116) to become empowered with computing skills to pursue 21st century opportunities!

Juniors taking the PSAT in October, Kaplan Test Prep will be hosting free online PSAT Cram Sessions to help students prepare for the upcoming New PSAT.
