STUDENT INFO
- Students still needing textbooks should come to the library with their IDs from 7:30 am – 3:00 pm each day.
- ITALY 2016! If you are interested in traveling to Venice, Florence, and Rome during Spring Break, come to an informational meeting at lunch on Thursday, 9/3 in Ms. Choi’s Room 223. Ciao!
- Audition packets are available in Room 1 for our fall drama season! We are doing two shows, Picnic & Check Please. See Ms. Mathews if you have questions.
- Students with Parking Permits – You may park ONLY in unmarked spaces in the student lot. All numbered spaces (& letters) are assigned to staff. (Note: The number on your parking permit is NOT a space assignment. It is for identification only.)
- Attention all students and staff: There will be a “stampede” at the stadium on Weds., Sept. 2 at lunch. Please wear your 2015-2016 stampede shirts to be in our awesome yearbook photo. Meet on Stadium Way and we’ll fill the bleachers in front of the press box!
SPORTS
- Boys Basketball tryouts for lower level teams will be held TODAY, Sept. 1 and Thursday Sept. 3 from 3:30 to 5 pm at Manhattan Beach Middle School. Anyone who would like to try out for Varsity must contact Coach Amaral directly at [email protected].
- Girls’ Soccer tryouts are this week. Returners 2 – 3 pm and new players from 3 – 4 pm. Bring cleats, shin guards and running shoes. Meet at the bleachers.
CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS
- Math Club meeting TODAY at lunch in Room 137. Everyone welcome.
- The Library Club meets in the Library lunch room TODAY (Tuesday). The Library Club also hosts a “Somewhat Virtual Book Club” discussion via Google Hangout with libraries across the country the first Wednesday of each month from 3 pm – 4:30 pm. Tomorrow’s theme will be “BYOB – Bring your own book” to share. Next month will be a discussion of Jandy Nelson’s I’ll Give You the Sun. New members and guests are welcome, and we will have refreshments.
- Come on down to Room 1 every Wednesday at lunch for Drama Club! Everyone is welcome!
- By 2020, 1.4 million jobs will be available in computing-related fields, but only 3% are expected to be filled by women. Come to the Girls Only Coding Club (Room 116) to become empowered with computing skills to pursue 21st century opportunities!

- SoCalRoc – Fall classes are still available. Sign up in the CCC to meet with the SoCalRoc counselor.
