STUDENT INFO           

  • Students with Parking Permits – Please park ONLY in unmarked spaces in the student lot. All numbered spaces (& letters) are assigned to staff. (Note: The number on your parking permit is NOT a space assignment. It is for identification only.)
  • Interested in playing Freshmen Football? It is not too late. See Coach Currier, Room 222 at snack or lunch.
  • Attention Late Registrants: If you didn’t get your small/medium stampede shirt at registration, please stop by Room $41 to pick it up TODAY.
  • Attention all students and staff: There will be a “stampede” at the stadium on Weds., Sept. 2 at lunch. Please wear your 2015-2016 stampede shirts to be in our awesome yearbook photo. Meet on Stadium Way and we’ll fill the bleachers in front of the press box!
  • Attention All: Wear your green & gold TODAY and every Friday! GO MUSTANGS!
  • Staff & Students: All sportswear order forms are due next Wednesday 9/1/15. Please place completed forms and checks in Mrs. Claypoole’s mailbox or turn them in to the accountant, Donna Cessor, in the student store.
  • All students who still need textbooks should come to the library from 7:30 to 2:55 pm TODAY. Help us clear away the textbooks by getting them TODAY. Be sure to have your ID and schedule. Students need to check all their books for any damages beyond normal wear and tear and report them to Mrs. Lofton within two weeks.
  • The library will begin extended hours on Monday. It will be open from 7:30 am – 5:00 pm Monday through Thursday and 7:30 am – 2:55pm on Fridays. However, students are asked NOT to come after school for textbook checkouts, checkins, or exchanges. Those should be handled before school or during the school day.
  • Our Manhattan Beach Library is now open on Sundays! It will be open 1 to 4 pm every Sunday except holidays. Come celebrate these new hours this Sunday from Noon to 1 pm at the Extended Library Hours Kick-Off Party on the library lawn!

SPORTS

  • Boys’ Golf: Mandatory meeting for new and returning players TODAY, Aug. 28 during 6th period in Room 410.
  • Girls’ Soccer tryouts will be held next week, Aug. 31 – Sept. 4. Returners tryout from 2 to 3 pm and any new players tryout from 3 to 4 pm. Please bring cleats, shinguards & running shoes. Meet at the top of the bleachers. Please try out all days.
  • Girls’ Water Polo tryouts will be held TODAY 8/28 and Monday, 8/31 between 2:15 and 3:15 at the pool.
  • Boys’ and Girls’ Cross Country tryouts will take place TODAY, Aug. 28. Please report to the track field at   3:15 pm. Hydrate and make sure to bring running shoes as you will run 3 miles. If you have further questions, please see Mr. Calderon in Room 346.

  • Boys’ Soccer: All boys interested in trying out for boys’ soccer, meet Coach Smith in Room 132 on Monday, 8/31 at 3:00 pm ready to play.

FACULTY

  • Please excuse Frosh Football TODAY,Friday 98/28 at 1:10 pm for a game at Culver City.

CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS  

  • If you are interested in learning Yoseikan aikido, please consider joining the Aikido Club, Mondays and Wednesdays, 3:15 to 4:15. See Mr. Brown, Room 14 for more information.

COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER

  • Seniors – Letters of Recommendation Workshops in the CCC Sept. 10 and Sept. 17 during lunch. Sign up on Naviance.
  • SoCalRoc – Fall classes are still available. Come to the CCC on Monday, Aug. 31 during lunch to meet with the SoCalRoc counselor to sign up or get more information.
