- Come to the Auditorium this Thursday, June 11 at 7 pm to see the Costa Orchestra’s Pop Concert! Tickets are free for students and $10 for adults. Enjoy music from Jurassic Park and Phantom of the Opera!
- ISTANBUL and ATHENS student and parent meeting June 9 at 5:30 pm in Room 48. Email Ms. Park for details. Last day to sign up is June 12.
- Do you need guidance through the summer reading? A study of the selected literature is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays to help motivate you. Class starts July 14. The class will help motivate you to get through the summer reading.
- From the library: You asked — we got them. Come by the library to see all the new books we have just added to the collection in response to the Library Club’s recent student survey. It’s not too late to borrow a good book before the school year is over.
- As the end of the year approaches, please remember that all library books and textbooks are due by June 18 and should be returned promptly as soon as you are done using them. It is extremely important that we get books back on time so that we can accurately determine whether we have adequate numbers for future students. Thank you very much for your support.
- While our physical library is closed during the summer, students can check out and read ebooks all year. Ask at the library for help accessing ebooks.
CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS
· The Library Club meets in the library workroom during lunch TODAY.
· Science Olympiad will have a leadership-only meeting on Wednesday, 6/10.
· Interested in helping local senior citizens? The Young at Heart Club works to form connections between Costa students and seniors, and will be having a meeting this Wednesday in Room 331 to hold elections for next year. All are welcome!
· AP Studio Art Students: If you are taking AP Art next year, you must attend an information meeting TODAY, June 9, OR Thursday, June 11 at lunch in Room 62 to pick up the summer packet. If you would like to join the class but have not submitted your portfolio, see Ms. Martin in Room 62 ASAP.
COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
El Camino College bound students – There will be an ECC Counselor available in the CCC to help you with your Ed Plan and Class Registration on Thursdays from 12:20 – 2:00 pm. Please sign up for your appointment in the CCC.
