• Attention Prom Attendees: Be sure to get to the venue by 8:30 pm. You will be allowed to leave after 10:45pm.
• Teachers at MBMS love you, but they ask that you do not visit the campus during school hours unless you have an appointment!
• Yearbooks are being distributed TODAY, Friday, June 5, for SENIORS ONLY at lunch and at 3 pm.
• June 8 – 11^th/12^th grades
• June 9 – 10^th/11^th/12^th grades
• June 10 – 9^th/10^th/11^th/12^th grades
• Meeting on Tuesday, June 9 at 5:30 pm for students and parents interested in going to Istanbul and Athens, Spring 2016. You must sign up by June 12 online. Email Ms. Park for details!
• As the end of the year approaches, please remember that all library books and textbooks are due by June 18 and should be returned promptly as soon as you are done using them. It is extremely important that we get books back on time so that we can accurately determine whether we have adequate numbers for future students. Thank you very much for your support.
• While our physical library is closed during the summer, students can check out and read ebooks all year. Ask at the library for help accessing ebooks.
• Big fat ART SHOW in Room 60! Check out what the AP Art kids have been working on all year! Open at lunch June 2 through June 10 and 4-6 pm TODAY, Friday, June 5.
• Biotechnology is coming to Costa!!! Freshmen, the deadline to submit the Biotechnology Course Application is TODAY, Friday, June 5!! Swing by room 350 to pick up an application ASAP. Students who complete this three-year pathway will graduate Mira Costa High School with experience and materials that rival that of a college graduate with a science major. They will enter undergraduate labs well equipped to perform virtually any technical application and/or they will be competitive applicants for paid internships and jobs in biotechnology.

·         Do you love writing and science? Join Cognitio (a science magazine) and become a staff writer! We will also be holding try-outs for editor positions on Monday, June 8. Visit thecognitio.com or email [email protected] for more details.

·         The Advanced Mira Costa Dance Company proudly presents their annual spring show, “Raise the Barre,” next Thursday, June 11, in the new Small Theater. Tickets are only $7 at the door. Hope to see you there!

·         The Gay-Straight Alliance will be holding board elections TODAY and will have a guest speaker.

·         NHS Seniors: Mrs. Cabrera has posted a list of requirements for graduation cords – please take care of any missing items ASAP – there will be a final meeting TODAY at lunch.

COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER

El Camino College bound students – There will be an ECC Counselor available in the CCC to help you with your Ed Plan and Class Registration on Thursdays from 12:20 – 2:00 pm. Please sign up for your appointment in the CCC.
