- ATTENTION NEXT YEAR’S JUNIORS & SENIORS: You may still sign up for student parking next year. Come to the Guidance Office starting 5/1 and see Ms. Gardner before/after school, during snack or lunch to sign up. Students are not allowed to sign up for their friends. If you currently have a parking pass, a new one is required every year to park in the lot. Spaces fill up quickly, so don’t delay.
- Italy 2016! Want to travel to Venice, Florence, and Rome during Spring Break next year? If so, see Ms. Choi in Room 223 for more details. Ciao!
- If you submitted artwork to the All Media Art Show, come to Room 62 to pick up your work.
- If you registered to compete in Scholar Quiz, please have your team captain check their email to see whether your team made it into the pool of 64 teams. A list is also posted on the website.
- Last chance to sign up for the SAT Savvy Prep class. Class starts May 9. Come to Room 18 or go to SATsavvy.info for more information.

CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS
- The Library Club meets in the library workroom during lunch TODAY. On Wednesday at 3 pm, All Costa students are invited to join our “Somewhat Virtual Book Club” Google Hangout meeting with other library clubs to share favorite graphic novels or other books.
- MCHS Fashion Club presents EVOLVE. Tickets for the fashion show will be on sale in the Mustang mall at lunch. They are $4, VIP $10.
- Attention NHS Applicants! If you have submitted using the old application forms, you need to do so with the new applications – pick up in Room 53. Applications due Friday, 5/8 before 3:00 pm.
- ROC Nation Meetings: Wed. 5/6 & Fri. 5/8. If you’re a musician or singer, come join us as we prepare for upcoming performances! Bring your instruments!
COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
Out of State College Mini Fair – May 12th 6:30 – 8:30pm in the MCHS Cafeteria. Come meet with admission representatives from 30 out- of-state colleges! Please RSVP on Naviance.
College visits in the CCC – United States Naval Academy, May 6th during lunch. Please sign up on Naviance.
El Camino College bound students – There will be an ECC Counselor available in the CCC to help you with your Ed Plan and Class Registration on Thursdays from 12:20 – 2:00 pm. Please sign up for your counseling appointment in the CCC.
Santa Monica College bound students – A presentation covering first-time enrollment for all entering freshmen will be held on May 6th at 12:45pm, please sign up on Naviance. Individual appointments are available following the presentation from 1:30 – 2:55pm. Sign up for individual appointments in the CCC.
SoCalRoc – Meet with the SoCal Roc Representative in the CCC on Mondays from 10:00am – 11:30am. Sign up in the CCC for an appointment or drop in during snack on Mondays.
AIAA Scholarship for students interested in the STEM fields. Application is available on the MCHS website, College tab – Scholarship Opportunities page. Submission deadline is May 7th.
SENIORS
-Senior Clearance Deadline is May 15th. Please bring copies of the following to the CCC: 1. Updated Naviance college admissions results. 2. Completed senior survey. 3. Acceptance letter from the school you will be attending.
-County of Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department Information Session – The Sheriff’s Department is recruiting for the position of Public Response Dispatcher. A representative will be in the CCC on Friday, May 8th at 1:00pm to cover hiring requirements, salary, and benefits. Please sign up on Naviance.
