STUDENT INFO           

  • (NEW) Please consider carpooling this Friday, March 27!  An event in our small theatre on Friday morning will bring many cars to campus.  Carpooling will cut down on congestion and parking tickets!  Thank you.
  • (NEW) Science Olympiad has a meeting on Wednesday 3/25 at lunch in room 350.
  • (NEW) Italy 2016!  All those who are interested in traveling to Venice, Glorence, and Rome next year during Spring Break, please come to an informational meeting on Thursday, March 26th during lunch in Ms. Choi’s room, room 223.
  • (NEW) Ireland and Scotland Trip - Spring Break 2016.  Last chance to sign up before the price increases on April 1st.  See or email Mr. Cox at [email protected] for details or come to our lunch meeting this Friday in room 232.
  •  (NEW) The Jazz Concert scheduled for March 25th has been cancelled due to scheduling conflicts.  We invite you to come hear our Jazz Band perform at the 1st Annual Jazz at the Beach Festival held at Redondo Union High School on Saturday, March 28th.  Mira Costa is schedulted to be on stage at 6:30PM.  Admission is $5 for guests.
  • Attention students: If you are interested in participating in ASB Student Government next year, you must come to one of the following meetings: T 3/31; Th 4/2; M 4/13; W 4/15.
  • Interested in taking AP Studio Art next year? See Ms. Martin in Room 62 for details.
  • Improve your SAT scores! Sign up for the last SAT Savvy Prep Session for the June 6th test. 18 hours of instruction plus four practice tests. And…It is here at Mira Costa with actual teachers. For more info: satsavvy.info or Rm. 18, 331 or the CCC.

 

CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS                                                                                                                                                                                         

  • (NEW) Want to learn about some of the cool cultures at Mira Costa?  Come to Cultures Unite!  Every Monday in room 25.
  • (NEW) The Library Club meets in the library workroom during lunch today.
  • (NEW) Gay-Straight Alliance meets Thursdays in Mr. Zeoli’s room (#23).  Everyone is welcome!

 

 

 

SENIORS

  • Applications to speak at graduation are now available. Pick one up in Room 15 or the office. Applications are due by 3/27/15.

 

COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER

 

  • College visits in the CCC - Hollins University, TODAY at 9:00am.,  Emory College, March 25 at 1:00pm,  DePaul University, March 30 at 12:20pm., Washington State University, April 1 at 12:20pm., Northeastern University, April 13 at 11:25am, UC Riverside, April 15 at 10:23am.

 

  • El Camino bound students  - There will be an ECC Counselor available in the CCC to help you with your Ed Plan and Class Registration on Thursdays from 12:20 – 2:00pm.  Sign-up for your appointment in the CCC now.

 

  • Testing Information

 

-       Free New SAT (class of 2017), will be offered by The Princeton Review at Mira Costa High School on April 18th from 9am – 1:30pm.  Register online PrincetonReview.com/Events or call 800-273-8439.  Event ID#233313

 

-       Practice ACT at Mira Costa on May 9th.  Register in the CCC during lunchtime this week.  Registration is $10 during the week of March 23rd.  Late registration is $15 during the week of March 30th.  Cash only!  We will not be accepting checks.  There are limited spots so first come, first serve!
