STUDENT INFO
- How many of you need some guidance through the summer reading selections? Sign up for Summer Reading: A Study of the Selected Literature. This course will improve your reading & writing and hones skills needed for success in the upcoming year. Class is Tuesdays & Thursdays from 8:00 – 10:00 am for three weeks. For more information, come to Room 18.
- Call for Art! The 15th Annual All Media Art Show will be held April 14-23 at the Manhattan Beach Creative Arts Center. A reception will be held on April 17 from 5-7 pm with live music & refreshments. All students & mediums are welcome – drawing, painting, mixed media, ceramics, photography, fashion, etc. Cash prizes will be awarded at the reception! Enter your work before April 3 in Rm. 62.
- Waivers are now available for 2015-16 scheduling for students who do not qualify for upper level courses based upon prerequisites. Students who do not meet prerequisites based upon grades from Semester 1 - 2014-15 or a prior semester MUST submit Waiver Form 1 by March 23 in order to be considered for approval to enroll in courses for the 2015-16 school year. Forms are available on the Mira Costa website and in the Guidance Office.
- Improve your SAT scores! Sign up for the last SAT Savvy Prep session for the June 6 test. 18 hours of instruction plus four practice tests. And…it is here at Mira Costa with actual teachers. For more info: satsavvy.info or Rm. 18, Rm. 331 or the CCC.
- Attention Italy Spring Break travelers: Mandatory meeting TODAY, Friday, 3/13.. Meeting will be at lunch on Friday in Room 223, Ms. Choi’s Room #223.
- 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament sign-ups TODAY. Tournament starts next week on March 17, 18, 23, 24, 25 and 27. Sign-ups are at lunch at the Mustang Mall. $5 per team; money goes to charity of your choice.
CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS
- Science Olympiad will have a leadership-only meeting on Wednesday, 3/18 during lunch.
SENIORS
- Applications to speak at graduation are now available. Pick one up in Room 15 or the office. Applications are due by 3/27/15.

- El Camino bound students – After you take your assessment tests, your next step towards priority registration is to meet with an ECC Counselor. There will be an ECC Counselor available in the CCC to meet with you on Thursdays from 12:20 – 2:00 pm. Sign up for your appointment in the CCC now.
- SoCalRoc is now accepting applications for Spring Classes – Law, Banking, Electrical, Welding, and Adobe classes start March 30. For more information please visit the CCC.
- Testing Information
- Free New SAT (class of 2017), Current SAT, ACT, PSAT tests will be offered by C2 Education on March 14 and March 21 at 9 am and 1 pm. Seating is limited, register online at C2educate.com/spring-break/

- Interested in taking the Practice ACT at Mira Costa on May 9? Register in the CCC during lunchtime starting March 23. Registration is $10 during the week of March 23. Late registration is $15 during the week of March 30. Cash only! We will not be accepting checks. There are limited spots so first come, first served!
