STUDENT INFO           

  • Attention NHS members! If you are interested in joining a committee with Relay for Life, come to Room 134 at lunch Friday to join!
  • Lose something? Drop by the Attendance Office to check Lost & Found. We have sports bags, clothing, books, keys and electronics. Please claim items by 3/6/15!
  • Come to Room 60 all this week to see a display of artwork organized by the Art Club.
  • Ireland and Scotland 2016 – Come travel the Emerald Isle with us. Come to Room 232 on Thursday or email [email protected] for details.
  • The Winter Formal is this Saturday, 2/28. It will be held at Los Verdes Country Club at 7 pm.

 

CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS

  • Come to Room 139 during lunch TODAY for Young Republicans Club.
  • The Library Club wants YOUR input on books to add to the library collection. Please complete the survey at bit.ly/mchsbooksurvey.
  • The Geeks meet in the library workroom during lunch TODAY. We have a customer who needs help and important news to share.
  • Come to the Tribe Club TODAY at lunch! We are going to be talking about our fundraiser. There will be brownies!
  • An area of a rainforest the size of a football field is being destroyed each second. Come to Room 18 on Wednesdays to help.
  • Gay-Straight Alliance meets Thursdays (TODAY) in Mr. Zeoli’s Room 23. Everyone is welcome!
  • Interested in modeling for this year’s fashion show? Don’t miss your last opportunity to audition Wednesday and Thursday this week at lunch in Room 131. Just bring yourself!

 

SENIORS

  • Attention Seniors: Many of you neglected to apply for CSF this semester. You cannot become a Life Member or Sealbearer without applying for CSF using senior grades. That means you should have applied before the break. I will, however, give you this week to come see me, Ms. Cunningham, in Room 349 about applying. If you didn’t have the grades then you will need to see me in May to look at second semester grades.

 

COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER

  • College visits in the CCC The Evergreen State College, March 19th at 10:23 am; Hollins University, March 24 at 9:00 am; DePaul University, March 30 at 12:20 pm; Washington State University, April 1 at 12:20 pm; Northeastern University; April 13 at 11:25 am. Sign up on Naviance.
  • El Camino bound students – After you take your assessment tests, your next step towards priority registration is to meet with an ECC Counselor. There will be an ECC Counselor available in the CCC to meet with you on Thursdays (TODAY) from 12:20 – 2:00 pm. Sign up for your appointment in the CCC now.
  • Free Practice Testing – SAT Savvy is offering a free practice test for the current SAT on Saturday 2/28 at 8 am to 1 pm at MCHS in Room 18. Please sign up with Ms. Vaughan in Room 18.
  • Seniors – If you are participating in the Scholarship notebook Program, please view available scholarships and specific instructions/deadlines on the MCHS website – College Tab – Scholarship notebook Information. Please sign up for specific scholarships in the CCC on Feb. 23 – 26 and March 2 – 6. If supplemental materials are required for the scholarships you choose, forms are available online or in the CCC – Please note deadlines.
  • SoCalRoc is now accepting applications for Spring Classes – Law, Banking, Electrical, Welding, and Adobe classes start March 30th. For more information please visit the CCC.
