STUDENT INFO           

  • For those who are signed up for the Italy Spring Break Trip, please come to a mandatory  meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 3, at lunch in Room 223, Ms. Choi’s room.
  • Come to the New Quad Monday, Feb. 2, to buy Formal tickets! From 1/29 to 2/6, tickets are $46 for a couple with ASB sticker, $56 without; single with ASB sticker is $25 and $30 without. From 2/9 to 2/13, single with ASB sticker is $30 or $35 without; couple with sticker is $56 or $66 without.
  • National Letter of Intent signing day is Wed., Feb. 4. Please contact Mr. John Shaw at [email protected] and provide your bio if you will be signing a letter of intent. Also, athletes who are committed to play a sport in college next year, please send bio and note that you are not signing but are playing for a school. We will acknowledge all athletes who will be participating in sports at the next level.
  • Do you want to be a part of the creation of our school’s yearbook? Well now is your chance to sign up to be on the 2016 Hoofprints yearbook staff! Applications are in Ms. Park’s room (Room 48) and in the office!
  • If you have not purchased a yearbook yet, then now is your time to buy one! Cost is $90 in the student store while supplies last!
  • Hockey meeting: There will be a meeting for hockey players next Thursday, Feb. 5, at lunch in Room 139.
  • Mira Costa Math Club will be hosting the AMC 10 & 12 tests on Tues., Feb. 3, during 4th period and at lunch in Room 137 (Donovan’s). All are welcome. The test is free, but space is limited. Please email [email protected] if interested.
  • Interested in traveling to Austria, Germany & Switzerland? See Ms. Owen in Room 15.
  • Students will be traveling to Cambodia and Vietnam over ski week and will be spending time helping to provide Cambodian students with materials in both social and educational aspects. Donate new or slightly used school supplies to the office by Feb. 3. The more supplies, the more student volunteers can impact lives.
  • AP Students: Don’t forget to sign up to register to take your AP exams TODAY at lunch only at the Student Store. Please bring your completed blue worksheet and a pen to complete the actual registration form. Checks ($96 for each exam) should be made payable to MCHS.
  • Sign-ups for Ping Pong tournament TODAY, Thursday and tomorrow, Friday at lunch in the New Quad. Cost is $5 per person for the charity of your choice. Tournament starts next Monday, Feb. 2.

  • Please excuse all Boys Soccer players at 1:10 pm TODAY, Friday, for games at Palos Verdes.

  • Did you know? Badminton is the fastest sport in the world. The fastest badminton smash was recorded at 332 km/h (206 MPH). Join the Badminton Club every Monday (TODAY) at lunch in Room 234.
