STUDENT INFO           

  • AP Students: Don’t forget to sign up to register to take your AP exams TODAY, AFTER Mid-Way day, at the Student Store. Please bring your completed blue worksheet and a pen to complete the actual registration form. Checks ($96 for each exam) should be made payable to MCHS.
  • Sign-ups for Ping Pong tournament this Wednesday, Thursday, Friday at lunch in the New Quad. Cost is $5 per person for the charity of your choice. Tournament starts next Monday, Feb. 2.
  • Hermosa Valley School is looking for HVS alumni to be cabin leaders for the 6th Grade Outdoor Science School in Malibu. Outdoor School will take place from Mon. Mar. 9 to Fr. Mar. 13. It may be possible to earn community service credits. The applicant deadline is Friday, Jan. 30. Contact Mr. Hecker at [email protected].

  • @Girls Beach Volleyball Tryouts – Tryouts will be held on Monday, 1/26, and Wednesday, 1/28, from 3:30 to 5:00 pm on the courts at 22nd Street in Hermosa. For questions or information, contact Bill Inman at (949) 735-8199 or email: [email protected].

CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS

  • Come to Pink Ribbon club this Thursday at lunch in Rm. 78. We are having a bake sale in February to raise money for care packages for breast cancer patients. See you there!
  • Shut Up & Help! Come to the Shut Up and Help meetings every Wednesday in Room 22 to help the homeless!

COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER

·         Seniors – Deadline reminder: All mid-year report requests are due to your Guidance Counselor by     Jan. 30.

·         El Camino Assessment Testing – If you’ve applied to El Camino College, you can complete your assessment testing at MCHS on January 29 in Room 241. Testing starts at 11:25 am and lasts approximately 3 hours. Please bring your El Camino I.D. number.

·         Seniors and Juniors – If you attended the Boeing Summer Internship Meeting, please come pick up an application from the CCC.
