STUDENT INFO
- This is a reminder that the PTSA Reflections Art Contest submissions are due no later than Monday, Nov. 17. Please turn in submissions to the Admin Office and give to Ms. Gardner or Mrs. Hoffman. Extra entry forms and instructions are available in the Admin Office.
- Last chance to sign up for Lip Sync! November 5th, 6th and 7th at the dance team table located in the New Quad. Don’t miss your chance to win!
- Attention Students! Signups for the blood drive on Nov. 20 will be taking place this week. Please sign up with an ASB member, in ASB, or with Ms. Claypoole.
- Tickets for Thornton Wilder’s “The Matchmaker” performed by the Mira Costa Drama Department will be on sale this week in the quad at lunch, so bring money! Performance dates are as follows: Nov. 7, 8, 14 & 15 at 7:30 pm; Nov. 12 at 4 pm and Nov. 15 at 2 pm. Pre-sale tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students and seniors, with a $5 price for students on the 12th. See you there!
SPORTS
- Girls Lacrosse tryouts, Thursday, Nov. 13 from 6 to 8 pm and Friday, Nov. 14 from 3 to 5 pm at the stadium. Bring cleats, running shoes, stick, goggles, and you MUST have a mouth guard.
- Boys’ Basketball tryouts will be Nov. 12 from 7 – 9 at Mira Costa. If you are a senior interested in trying out, please contact Coach Amaral directly at [email protected].
- Last chance to try out for boys soccer. If you are interested, you m ust meet Coach Smith in his classroom at 3:00 this Friday, Nov. 7 to discuss the situation. Try outs will be the following week.

- The Geeks meet during lunch in the library lunch room TODAY. New members are welcome. Also, stop by if you need any help with technology.
- Come to Chess Club in Room 14 TODAY, Thursday, Mr. Brown’s class.
- Help better the world with one well at a time. Come to the Tribe Club in room 204 TODAY at lunch. There are internships and community service options available. New members are welcomed.
- What would J. K. Rowling’s fourth book be called if Harry Potter was a turkey? Harry Potter & the GOBBLE-let of Fire! For more fun, come to Friendship Circle Tuesdays & Thursdays in Room 114.
- Come to FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletics) TODAY, Room 102, if you want to have a good time!
- Want to be a published author/photographer/artist? Submit your creat-innovations to [email protected]. Meet us on Mondays in Room 18.
- Come to Childlife Foundation Club in Rm. 15 to help build hospitals in Pakistan.
- Give Back to the Children Club meets Thursday (TODAY) in room 332 in the Math and Science building. Come to learn how you can give back to the children of Africa.

- UC Application and Statement Workshop – hosted by a UC representative will be held on Wed., Nov. 12 at 2:10 pm in the CCC.
- Walk-in Wednesdays continue through Nov. 19. College application support is available every Wednesday in Room 241 during lunchtime.
