STUDENT INFO           

  • Tickets for Thornton Wilder’s “The Matchmaker” performed by the Mira Costa Drama Department will be on sale next week in the quad at lunch, so bring money! Performance dates are as follows: Nov. 7, 8, 14 & 15 at 7:30 pm; Nov. 12 at 4 pm and Nov. 15 at 2 pm. Pre-sale tickets are $13 for adults and $11 for students and seniors, with a $5 price for students on the 12th. See you there!
  • Get ready for Halloween: Come see the library scary books and contribute a sentence to one of our scary stories. Everyone who contributes will have a chance to win a coffee gift certificate. Be sure to participate by Friday, Oct. 31. Staff members are also welcome to participate!
  • NOON-TIME THEATRE this Thursday in the Drama Room, Room 1! Stop by to see some spooky skits and silly scenes at lunch!
  • Japan 2016 – meeting on Wednesday at lunch in Room 72. Enroll by Friday to get a $200 discount. Arigato.
  • Costa Rica 2015. Meeting at lunch on Thursday in Room 72. Pura Vida!

SENIORS

  • Deadline for Regular Decision College Applications with Dec. 1 – Jan. 15 deadlines are due Friday, Oct. 31, 2014.
  • All senior ads are due by December 5, 2014, so get yours now before it’s too late!

SPORTS

  • There will be a tryout for all levels of Boys Volleyball on Friday, October 31 from 3-8 pm in Fisher Gym.

CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS  

  • ORANGE you excited for the Friendship Circle meeting this Thursday? Get in the spirit by bringing all your pump-KIN! Room 114. You Booooooo-ter be there!
  • Game Club is watching The Shining this week, Friday right after school in Rm. 40. All are welcome. There will be candy.
  • Participate in Halloween fun at Shakespeare Club in Room 18 on Friday at lunch this week. The Tempest begins next week!
  • Come join the Art Club Wednesday at lunch, Thursday at lunch, and Thursday after school in   Room 62 to paint pumpkins. They’ll be on sale and display Friday in the gallery.

  • To help the homeless get back on their feet, come to Project Origin every Wednesday at lunch in Room 22.
  • Do you need community service hours? Reading Partners is a fun & easy opportunity to do so. RP is a tutoring organization where students can help younger kids become better comprehensive readers. Come to room 14, Mr. Brown’s class, at lunch on Tuesdays to find out more about the program!
  • Hey philosophers! Join us on Wednesday, 10/29 in Room 53 at lunch for a short lecture on identity & the Self! We will also be discussing upcoming events!
  • Come one, come all! Gay-Straight Alliance (and everyone in between!) meets Thursdays in Mr. Zeoli’s room, Rm. 23. Everyone is welcome!

  • College Application Support “Walk-In Wednesdays” will continue through Nov. 19 during lunch in Room 241. No sign-up is necessary.
