• Attention to junior and seniors next year scheduling classes; Take Honors Earth Science through UCLA. It is the only Dual Credit class (High School and College credit) It is the only class that allows students to earn guaranteed college credit without taking an AP exam. AP classes are not guaranteed college credit. This gives Honors status and same weight on your GPA as an AP class. Do students have to enroll in the UCLA class? No, but if you want to get credit on a transcript from UCLA they will have to enroll. The transcript can give credit to another school even if you do not go to UCLA. It will be worth 5 college credits. Way cheaper than the average cost of a college class. 4 major fields of study are; Astronomy, Oceanography, Meteorology and Geology. • ATTN: Current sophomores and juniors with a GPA of 3.6 or higher; 2014 – 2015 NHS membership applications are now available. There will be an informational meeting for those interested in applying, on Wednesday at lunch in Rm. 53. Current NHS members need not attend.
• Prom Court Elections will be Friday, May 23 during Homeroom period.
• Attention Students; Prom Tickets are being sold from 5/14 – 6/12. Please see Lisa Claypoole Rm. 41 for dates & prices or more information.
• Come safari with us in South Africa – Spring Break 2015. See Mr. Cox in Rm. 410 during lunch or nutrition all week.
CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS
• Attention NHS Members; We will be participating in one optional chapter service project this year – a bake sale to raise funds for Relay for Life, that will take place on Sat. 5/24. Pick up a memo in Rm. 43 and check out our Facebook page for more information.
