Players; plan your quickest route to the football field from your 4thperiod class, know your team captain’s name, and wear your S-Quiz t-shirts on Friday and Monday to help us get you to the right match location ASAP. The bracket will be posted at 7am on Friday outside of ASB. LOOK AT IT CAREFULLY and memorize your match number. Then LOOK AT THE MAP OF THE FIELD posted next to the bracket and find your match location so you can hustle-up when the lunch bell rings. You must be at your match by 12:30 sharp. Players will sit on the ground on cushions so ear comfortable clothes, flat shoes and hats or sun glasses. Girls, no short skirts please! Snap, crackle and pop those flags! Good luck. • Attention all current AP students; If you purchased your own book for an AP class this year, please consider donating it to the school and making it available through the school library to a student who is unable to purchase one in the Fall. If you would like to donate an AP textbook, please take it to the Library. Textbook donations can be claimed as tax deductions, and we will be happy to provide you with a tax donation receipt when you turn in the book. • Vibrant Landscapes and Portraits are now on display in the student art gallery. Stop by Rm 60 during lunch to check out this impressive Student Art Exhibition. • South Africa Trip – Spring 2015 Come to Rm 410 at lunch TODAY to get information on how to sign up. • Attention to junior and seniors next year scheduling classes; Take Honors Earth Science through UCLA. It is the only Dual Credit class (High School and College credit) It is the only class that allows students to earn guaranteed college credit without taking an AP exam. AP classes are not guaranteed college credit. This gives Honors status and same weight on your GPA as an AP class. Do students have to enroll in the UCLA class? No, but if you want to get credit on a transcript from UCLA they will have to enroll. The transcript can give credit to another school even if you do not go to UCLA. It will be worth 5 college credits. Way cheaper than the average cost of a college class. 4 major fields of study are; Astronomy, Oceanography, Meteorology and Geology.
