• Attention to junior and seniors next year scheduling classes; Take Honors Earth Science through UCLA. It is the only Dual Credit class (High School and College credit) It is the only class that allows students to earn guaranteed college credit without taking an AP exam. AP classes are not guaranteed college credit. This gives Honors status and same weight on your GPA as an AP class. Do students have to enroll in the UCLA class? No, but if you want to get credit on a transcript from UCLA they will have to enroll. The transcript can give credit to another school even if you do not go to UCLA. It will be worth 5 college credits. Way cheaper than the average cost of a college class. 4 major fields of study are; Astronomy, Oceanography, Meteorology and Geology. See Mr. Kurz in Rm. 238 or email him @[email protected] for more details.
