• SAT Savvy – last SAT prep class of the school year. Sign up for this intensive prep program & improve your SAT scores. 18 hours of instruction, 4 practice tests, & taught by actual teachers. • Fly away to Neverland as the Mira Costa High School Drama Department presents its final four performances of “Peter Pan”, Thur. May 1 at 6:30 pm, Fri. May 2 at 7:30 pm, and Sat. May 3 at 2 pm and 7:30 pm. Following the Saturday matinee, there will be a special time for kids of all ages to get autographs and have photos taken with their favorite characters. Adult tickets; $18; child/student/senior tickets: $12. Tickets are available in the quad at lunchtime at the box office or at Patterson Cleaners, Tiffany Cleaners, or Dietz Bros Music. Tickets are also available at www.miracostadramaboosters.org for a $1 PayPal fee. See you in Neverland!
• Attention all students: Who has a dress that they know they will never wear again? If you do, drop it in one of the “Operation Prom” donation boxes and make your old dress someone’s new one! Boxes are located in rooms 40/41, the library and the office.
• If you are interested in one of the last spots for the Eastern Europe trip, see Ms. Owen in Rm. 15
• Do you need to improve in reading & writing & hone your skills for the upcoming year? Sign up for the Intensive Summer Reading: A study of the selected Literature class for Summer School. It is only 3 weeks & it is only Tuesdays & Thursdays at 8am to 10:30 am. All grade levels are welcome.
• Peter Pan Tickets are being sold in the new quad at lunch TODAY thru Friday May 2nd. $12 for Students and Seniors and $18 for Adults.
• ATTENTION NEXT YEAR’S SENIORS AND JUNIORS: The time is here to sign up for parking in the student lot for the 2014-2015 school year. Come to the Guidance Office (see Ms. Gardner) before/after school, during snack or lunch to sign up. Students are not allowed to sign up for their friends. If you currently have a parking permit, a new one is required to park in the lot.
• The CCC will have a booth at club day TODAY – seniors wear your college spirit shirt and stop by the booth to sign the map. Celebrate College decision day!!
• New Fall Senior Dental Assist course at SoCalROC (SCROC). Free to students, see Pat Morrow in Career Center.
• This is advance notice that unfortunately the library will be open for independent visits only on a very limited basis during AP testing. The library will be closed from Monday, May 5 through Wednesday May 14, with these exceptions;
Monday, May 5 and Thursday, May 8, open during lunch and in the afternoon
Monday, May 12 7:30 am – 12 Noon
Tuesday, May 13, open during lunch and in the afternoon
