STUDENT INFO
• 2014 – 2015 STUDENT PLANNER COVER CONTEST:
It’s time to design next year’s planner covers! Three entries will be selected to grace the cover of the 2014 – 15 student planners. To enter, students need to submit their vision of Mira Costa in any flat medium (pencil, paint, graphics, etc.) to Heather Hoffman in the admin building by April 15. To account for trim, all entries must be 5.5” X 8.5” with the critical design elements in the center 4” X 7.25”. Students may enter as many pieces as they like. Faculty and students will vote for the winners. Previously submitted designs are welcome
• Cheerleading tryouts for the 2014-15 season to be held soon. Anyone interested please, pick up an application in the front office.
• If you turned something in to the Fantasy Art Show come to the Gallery (Rm. 62) to pick it up or talk to Ms. Martin. Thanks for making the show a success!
• Applications are now being accepted for next year’s Mustang Morning News staff. Find out how you can be part of this nationally award winning program; www.mustangmorningnews.com
• Don’t forget to submit your photos to the annual La Vista Photo contest by April 4th. The top 3 winners will receive prizes.
• Are you interested in taking AP Studio Art next year? In order to enroll you must submit a portfolio of artwork for review. See Ms. Martin in Rm 62 Tuesday – Friday at lunch for more information. Interested students must come to one lunch meeting this week! Email [email protected] for more information.
• Hey Costa! Do you have a bucket list? How would you like to be on the yearbook bucket list page? Come to the Yearbook Rm. 49 at lunch or email miracostayearbook@ gmail.com
• Summer School opportunity – Sign up for the 3 week course Summer Reading: A study of the selected literature. Improve your reading, writing, & hone your skills needed for success in the upcoming year.




CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS
• Come to Pink Ribbon Club outside Rm. 78 every Wednesday!!! We will fundraise for Susan G. Komen and give care packages to cancer patients!

SENIORS
• Jostens’s will be here on Thursday, April 3rd, at SNACK and LUNCH to distribute Senior Announcements in the Auditorium. If you have an outstanding balance, payment can be made at that time. Also, if there are any seniors who have not ordered cap and/or gown, Jostens’s will have extra order forms to do so. Cost will be $60.00.
