• SAT Savvy Intensive prep program (2nd session) sign-ups are here again. Familiarize yourself w/ the test, take practice tests, learn strategies & get feedback from actual teachers. For more info go to satsavvy.info or Rm. 18, 331 or the CCC.
• Congratulations to Meera Nagpal and, Kathryn Cross for being recognized with a regional award in the Scholastic Art & writing Awards of 2014.
• Enter the new library contest. Go to the library website (miracostahighlibrary.edublogs.org or bit.ly/mchslibblog) and guess where Mrs. Lofton’s photo was taken. Everyone who submits a correct answer will be entered in a drawing to win a Starbucks gift card. Be sure to submit your entry by Friday at 3PM. And, while you are visiting the library blog, you can also check out the recording and photos from last week’s Len Vlahos author visit. It also includes music performances by some of Mira Costa’s talented students.
• Only a limited number of spots are left for the trip to Eastern Europe during Spring break 2015. Stop by Rm. 15 for info.
• Come join the Mira Costa Orchestra for an evening of great classical masterworks being performed by the students of the prestigious orchestra program. The concert is on Fri., March 7th at 7pm in the auditorium. $10 at the door for adults, FREE for students and faculty.
• Need community service hours? Even just a few – or one?! Pacific School in MB is in need of student volunteers to help demonstrate Science experiments at their Expo next Wed., 3/12, any time from 5 – 8pm. Please contact Nancy at 310-357-9617 or [email protected]
• Attendance Reminder! Don’t forget – any student leaving campus, regardless of the reason for absence, MUST obtain an off grounds permit prior to leaving.
• It’s not too late to be in the Student Art Show! All students are encouraged to participate, you do not have to be in an art class. Entries can be any medium (drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, fashion design, etc). See Ms. Martin in Rm. 62 for more info and official entry form. Deadline to submit work is MARCH 10th.
• Don’t forget to pick up your CSF application in lab room 243 at snack or lunch. The applications are due on Friday, March 7th. Congratulations on your outstanding grades! If you received a minimum of three “A”s and one “B” on your report card you may be eligible for CSF membership.
• Mandatory Lunch meeting for all students signed up for Spain 2015! See you in Rm. 70 on Friday!
• Attention students! Mira Costa is having its first ever Sadie Hawkins dance! Hey ladies, step up and ask someone to Sadies! #what happensatsadies

• Come by Rm. 15 to pick up an application to speak at Senior Recognition or Graduation
• Attention seniors! If you are going on a college or military visit, please obtain prior approval from Dr. Dale. Students who have already been out for college visits should go to the attendance office for further instructions.
