• Do you need community service hours? Pacific School’s Family Science Night is March 12 and Grand View’s Science Expo is Wed., March 19 and they both would love your assistance staffing science rooms, setting up or breaking down the event. • Come to the new quad at lunch TODAY to sign up for Relay for Life 2014! Help cure cancer and get 48 hours of community service!
• The California Scholarship Federation Membership Drive begins now and ends on Friday, March 7th. We will be having a meeting on Wednesday, February 26th in lab room 243 at lunch. If you don’t know about CSF, then come to the meeting for more information and pick up an application.
• There are still spots for the Spring Break 2015 trip to Eastern Europe. See Ms. Owen in Rm. 15 for details.
• The Mira Costa Library is delighted to welcome Author Len Vlahos today. He will be here speaking during Periods 5 and 6, and signing copies of his book The Scar Boys, right after school. A {pages} bookstore rep will be here selling copies of the book. If your class is scheduled to come, please come directly to the library. If you are coming on your own, be sure to get a permission slip signed by your Period 5 or 6 teacher. No permission slips are required if you have an unscheduled class period. Any staff available Period 5 or 6 are also welcome, and everyone is welcome to come purchase books and get them signed right after school.

CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS
• Come to the Creative Writing Club every Friday outside Rm. 18, Mrs. Vaughan’s room at lunch!
• Come this Friday, to Rm. 41 for the first fashion club meeting at lunch. There will be cupcakes. 

SENIORS
• Interested in speaking at Graduation or Senior recognition? Pick up an application in Rm. 15 or the guidance office starting March 3rd.

• Seniors; Remember to turn in your scholarship notebooks no later than Thursday 02/27 by the END OF LUNCH! The CCC will be open Wed. & Thurs. at 7:30 am, if you want to beat the rush!
