• The Mira Costa Orchestra is holding an Ice Skating Fundraiser this Friday night, November 8th from 7:30 – 9:30 pm. Tickets will be sold at the door for $10.00 and include skate rental (This price is cheaper than the regular public price.) See you there!
• Come to the last Home Football game against Redondo, our rivals on Friday. Let’s stampede them!
• Come to the Frat Dance in the small Gym on November 8th after the Football Game against Redondo.
• So Cal ROC – SCROC Spring Enrollment applications are available in Counselor Office and College & Career Center. To see Pat Morrow please sign up in College& Career Center.
• The library is excited to announce that popular local author D.J. MacHale has agreed to visit the Mira Costa Library on December 4. Then, plan to read one or more of his books and sign up to attend one of his presentations.
• The Fall Production of THE CRUCIBLE plays tonight (Thurs.) at 6:30pm, Fri. at 7:30 and Sat. at 2:00pm and 7:30. Tickets may be purchased in the Drama Room at lunch by knocking on the door. Prices are $12.00 for Students and Teachers. $15.00 for Adults OR tickets can be purchased at the door.
CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS
• Lend A Hand Club will be meeting at the Bleachers during lunch TODAY.
• Come to Creative Writing Club every Friday OUTSIDE of Rm. 18 at lunch.
• Worms get hungry too. Come to Living Green Club TODAY in Rm. 350 at lunch to help Costa become a composting school.
• Come to Childlife Foundation Club to help build hospitals in a third world country! We meet in Rm. 15 at lunch.
• Friendship Circle meets TODAY in Rm. 114!
• Donate any well-worn shoes to Nike Reuse-A-Shoe Drive to be made into track & field equipment. Donations to Mr. Calderon’s Rm. 346.
• Submit any creative works such as poetry, short stories, artwork or photography to [email protected] to be published in Costa’s literary magazine.
SENIORS
• Attention Seniors – Are you interested in an internship at Northrop Grumman this spring? Come to the CCC TODAY @ lunch to get information and an application packet.
• Secondary school reports and requests for letters of recommendation to your Guidance Counselor for Regular Decision and Rolling Admission Applications with deadlines after Dec. 31st are due Friday, November 15th.
SPORTS
• If you’re interested in trying out for Mira Costa’s girls’ Lacrosse come to relax with us and talk about the upcoming season in the library at lunch on Friday, Nov. 8th.
