STUDENT INFO
• CSF Notice: If you applied to be a CSF Member or Associate Member your application has been accepted. There will be a delay in receiving membership cards due to a loss in a move to the new building. You will still receive them in your 2nd period class but, it won’t be until after Thanksgiving break.
• The Fall Blood Drive is on Tuesday, November 5th! Sign up with an ASB member or come to Mrs. Claypoole’s room, Rm. 123 to sign up!
• Salem Witch Trials come to Mira Costa! Pre-Sale Tickets for The Crucible on sale at lunch in the new quad TODAY through Friday, November 1st. Pre-Sale prices; $10.00 for students and seniors. $12.00 adults. After November 1st; $12 & $15 at the door.
• Mandatory Meeting for those signed up for the 2014 Galapagos Island Trip. Friday Nov. 1st at lunch in Rm. 3. Spots still available for those interested students.
• Attention Students! Ping Pong Tournament sign-ups are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (November 6th -8th). The tournament will take place from Tuesday, November 12th to the 19th in the small gym at lunch. The $5 sign up for each participant will be used to buy new ping pong balls and paddles and for prizes. Thank you.
• From the library: Just in time for Halloween come see the Monsters Nightmares drawn by Ms. Martin’s art students
• Want to go to ENGLAND for SPRING BREAK? See Castles, Cathedrals, Theatre, Stonehenge, a Chelsea Football match and more! Trip is limited to 12 sophomores, juniors and seniors, with 4 spots left, come check it out! Info Meeting Friday, November 2nd at lunch in Rm. 237. CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS
• Attention NHS members: Due to ongoing negotiations between the Union and the District, our regularly scheduled Nov. meeting has been cancelled. Our 1st meeting will likely be Fri. Dec. 6 unless negotiations continue.
• Worms get hungry too. Come to Living Green Club Thursday in Rm. 350 at lunch to help Costa become a composting school.
• Come to Childlife Foundation Club to help build hospitals in third world country! We meet in Rm. 15 at lunch.
• No Friendship Circle Club Thursday, October 31st. See you Tuesday, Nov. 5th.
• Lend A Hand Club will be meeting at the bleachers during lunch on Thursdays.


SENIORS
• November 1st is the deadline to submit Secondary School Reports and requests for letters of recommendations to your Guidance Counselor for Regular Decision Application with deadlines of
Dec. 1 – 31.
SPORTS
• Last chance to try-out for Boys’ Soccer. Meet Mr. Smith in Rm. 132 at 3:00 on Monday, Nov. 4th. Come ready to play. Students who have a conflict, see Coach Smith at lunch!
