STUDENT INFO
• The library will close at 1:55 TODAY. Please get any books you need for the weekend before then.
• The Manhattan Beach Public library is holding its annual bookmark contest! The deadline is next Thursday. Get entry forms at the library or on the library blog.
• Students – The PSAT will be given on campus on Saturday, Oct. 19th. Room assignments are posted outside the administration office and the CCC with your room assignment. Rooms have changed – so everyone needs to check the lists. Remember you must report to your room by 7:45 AM and have photo ID!
• Pick up your sweatshirts TODAY during lunch at the student store.
• Seniors & Juniors order your Mira Costa class rings from Jostens TODAY during snack and lunch in the New Quad. Bring a $50.00 Deposit.
• The Bella Foundation will be putting on a Halloween Costume give-away & Party. Please donate gently used costumes and costume elements for 5 – 10 year olds. There is a collection box set up in the office. All items must be collected TODAY.
• Want to go to ENGLAND for SPRING BREAK? See Castles, Cathedrals, Theatre, Stonehenge, a Chelsea Football match and more! Trip is limited to 12 juniors and seniors, so come check it out! Info Meeting TODAY at Lunch Rm. 237. If you cannot make the meeting but are still interested, email Mr. Lewis at [email protected] for further information.
• B.K.S. Iyengar, the creator Iyengar yoga, is 94 years old and still a yoga rock star. If you would like to learn about this form of yoga, come check out the free Iyengar Yoga classes for Mira Costa students that Ms. Sieker is teaching at LYFE Yoga in Hermosa Beach every other Thursday from 3:15 – 4:15 pm. Our next class is Thursday, October 24th!
CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS
• Submit all creative photography, art, short stories or poems to Reflections Magazine so you can become a published Artist! Send all submissions to [email protected]
• Come to Creative Writing Club TODAY in Rm. 18, Mrs. Vaughan’s room.
• If you like driving, looking at or just talking about cars, come to Car Club TODAY at Rm. 139 where all car lovers are welcome.
• Put on your mickey ears and head on down to Disney Friends for Change Club on Monday in Rm. 223!
• Come join us in Emusoi (Emma Soy) club every Monday in Rm. 22. We support women’s education.
