• Detention will now be held in Rm. 24. Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:15 to 4:15 and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7am to 7:55.
• This week is Banned Books Week, a national celebration of our freedom to read what we choose and a time to remember to protect that right for ourselves and others. Please come to the library to see the display of frequently challenged and banned books and to participate in the Banned Books Week Contest.
• California Scholarship Federation Membership Drive will begin TODAY. Please come to Lab Rm. 243 to see if your name is on the eligibility list posted on the door and to pick up an application. This membership drive is open to sophomores, juniors and seniors only.
• Did you know that badminton is second only to soccer as the most played game in the world? And, that Mira Costa’s badminton team took 2nd place in CIF last year. Come find out more TODAY at lunch in Rm. 234, join the Badminton Club. New members welcome!
• Ms. Sieker is offering FREE yoga classes for Mustangs every other Thursday at LYFE Yoga in Hermosa Beach from 3:15 – 4:15 p.m., starting next Thursday, September 26th. Come de-stress and calm your nervous system while practicing yoga with a beautiful ocean view! No yoga experience necessary; all are welcome.

• Come to Together We Tutor every Tuesday in Rm. 19. We tutor at an elementary school in Hawthorne. All new members welcome!
