STUDENT INFO
• Come to the last Comedy Sportz match of the year! Comedy Sportz alumni match Friday, June 14th at 7 pm in the Drama room. $5.00 at the door.
• On Thursday, June 13th at 7pm, Mira Costa Dance class will be performing their last show of the year “Curtain Call” blow out tickets will be available Monday and Tuesday for $5.00 on Wednesday tickets will be $7.00, and at the door $10.00 so buy your tickets now.
• There will be a mandatory meeting for all students who signed up for the trip to Cusco, Peru in 2014. Please come to Room 36 or see Ms. Rossell at lunch on June 12th for further information.
• INCOMING AP BIOLOGY STUDENTS – Stop by Mrs. Bledsoe’s room (77) or Mr. Sponaugle’s room (73) to pick up a copy of your summer assignment and textbook information for the Fall.
• AP students: If you purchased your own book for an AP class this year, please consider donating it to the school and making it available through the school library to a student who is unable to purchase one in the Fall. If you would like to donate an AP textbook, please take it to the Mira Costa Library. Textbook donations can be claimed as tax deductions, and we will be happy to provide you with a tax donation receipt when you turn in the book. Thank you for saving the school budget funds in these tight financial times and helping other students unable to purchase their own books.
• Yearbook distribution Make-ups are TODAY at lunch in the doorway of Room 9. Students who need to buy a yearbook must bring $85.00 CASH ONLY to the ASB accountant Mr.Toth’s office next to the language lab room 49B. You can check lists on Admin windows to confirm that you ordered a yearbook.
• If you did not attend the AP ART HISTORY meeting at lunch, you MUST see Ms. Park in room 120 before the school year is out to receive info about SUMMER ASSIGNMENTS. Thank you.
• Italy Trip Spring 2014 meeting TODAY, June 11th at lunch in Room 223, Ms. Choi’s room. See you there!
• Be sure to enroll before the end of the school year in order to secure a spot in Ms. Sieker’s Go with the Flow yoga, meditation, and creative writing summer workshop! The workshop will run the week of July 8-12 from 1:15 – 4:25pm. This class is open to both current Costa students and alumni. No yoga experience is necessary! Online enrollment is available: www.psmanhattan.org. Click on “Camp VIP”. See Ms. Sieker in Room 34 for more details. NAMASTE!

CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS
• CSF Senior Life Members: Congratulations on a job well done! Please come to Room 76 TODAY, June 11th to pick up your packets which include your certificate, pin and the cowl you will wear for graduation. If you are not sure if you are a “Life Member” or seal bearer, please check the list on my door or check the Mira Costa website.
• Come to “Together We Tutor” on Tuesdays in Room 19! You can get community service hours by tutoring 5th graders in Hawthorne. All new members welcome!
• Latino Scholars Union meets on Wednesdays in Room 72. All members welcome!
• Come to Room 75 at lunch on Wednesday for GALS Club’s last meeting of the year!
• Please join us at Friendship Circle during lunch TODAY in Room 114 for our end of the year party! We will have food!
• GSA has a quick meeting to have a re-vote for VP!
• TODAY is our last meeting of the year for Habitat for Humanity! Stop by to help plan our upcoming build and participate in elections!
SENIORS
• If you still owe money or need to purchase a Cap and Gown, contact Josten’s at 805-987-4147.
• Senior Valedictorians – If you would like the case that your Valedictorian Medal came in, please pick it up before the end of this week from Mrs. Lee-Iwai. Thank you!
SPORTS
• There will be a mandatory players/parents meeting for the Fall MCHS Hockey Team this Thursday, June 13th at 7pm in the school library. The coaches will be in attendance, along with reps from the Anaheim Ducks. Registration for spots on the team will be taking place.
• Costa Hockey CHAMPIONS! – The MC JV Hockey team won the championship by beating PV 6-4. Members of the championship team are: Carlos Sanchez, Adam Bedford, Oliver Gable, Mark Peterson, Kai Borich, Robert Davis, Ryan Wendel, Scott Henry, Max Fogel, Quinn McCauley, Jacob Gordon, Chris Mohr, Nick Ettley, Ryan Fawlkes, and Kai Karpman. Coaches: T. Oystrick and B. Mark.
COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
• Seniors: Please come pick up your scholarship notebooks in the CCC. We will have a list posted outside the CCC of all seniors receiving a scholarship. Award recipients will be receiving an invitation to the scholarship awards night on Monday, June 17th via mail.

• Reminder: classified and certificated payroll due to Mary g. Friday, May 14th by 9:30 am
