STUDENT INFO
• Every 15 Minutes TODAY and tomorrow, the Manhattan Beach Police Department in cooperation with the Manhattan Beach Unified School District will be presenting "Every 15 Minutes" at Mira Costa High School. The crash simulation is scheduled to start at 11:25am TODAY on the north practice filed. The school assembly is scheduled to start at 9am on June 7th in the auditorium.

The crash scene simulation event is scheduled to start at 11:30am TODAY and will take place on the NORTH FIELD. ALL JUNIORS AND SENIORS should proceed directly to the North Field IMMEDIATELY following 3rd period today, Teachers of junior/senior classes in 4th period should also report to the field.

The assembly is scheduled to begin at 9:05 am on June 7th in the Auditorium. ALL JUNIORS AND SENIORS should proceed directly to the Auditorium by 9:00 am – do not report to class. Teachers of junior/senior classes in 2nd period should also report to the auditorium.
• Reminder: check lists on Admin windows to confirm that you ordered a yearbook.
• Dodge ball Tournament sign ups in the quad at lunch. $10.00 per team.
• Reminder: Students participating in Blood drive, passes will be sent to the room in which you signed up. We understand that the “Every 15 Minutes” demonstration TODAY and Friday could impact your ability to donate.
• Do you like being in touch with the ‘pulse’ of the Mira Costa students? Do you enjoy helping others who struggle with the many challenges that life presents to all of us? And finally, would you like to develop your leadership skills while providing critical life-improving information to your classmates? If you answered yes to these questions then consider joining the PACE program next year as an elective class. All interested students must fill out an application for next year’s class by Friday, June 7th. Applications are available in the office or can be picked up from room 57.

• Students in AP Studio Art next year – MANDATORY meeting Tuesday, 6/11 at lunch in Room 102 to discuss summer assignments.
• Independent Study – Athletics – Final logs and evaluations are due on or before Friday, June 7th!
• Come hear the Mira Costa Orchestras perform at the iconic Walt Disney Concert Hall in Downtown LA on Sunday, June 9th, from 4-5pm. Tickets are $10 and will be on sale in the quad at lunch this Thursday and Friday. Don’t miss out on the chance to watch our talented Mustang musicians take on the professional stage!
• Dodge ball tournament begins FRIDAY, June 7th and will continue through the end of next week. Come to the tennis courts at lunch.
• Students who need to buy a yearbook must bring $85 CASH ONLY to the ASB Accountant, Mr. Toth. His office is next to the language lab. Bring the money starting TODAY through next week.
• Spain/Portugal Trip 2014 Mandatory meeting this Friday at lunch in Room 48!
• Italy Trip Spring 2014 meeting on Tuesday, June 11th at lunch in Room 223, Ms. Choi’s room. See you there!
• Greece Trip 2013 meeting TODAY at lunch in Room 123. New travelers welcome!

CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS
• Attention current NHS members: due to a number of scheduling issues, we will not have a full June meeting. Instead, drop by Room 32 this Friday at lunch. Seniors will receive honors cord and juniors should drop off their community service logs.
• Attention CSF members: CSF will be interviewing Dr. David Wineland, last year’s winner of the Physics Nobel Prize. You can submit your questions to @CSF_Statewide by Sunday, 6/9. You must include @beachghost93 in your Tweet.
• Come write with the Creative Writing Club every Friday in Room 18!
• The Geek Squad meets in the library workroom during lunch TODAY.
• Please join us TODAY at lunch in Room 114 for Friendship Circle. We will have pizza!

SENIORS
• If you still owe money or need to purchase a Cap and Gown, contact Josten’s at 805-987-4147.
• Final Cap and Gown distribution will be TODAY during lunch in the attendance office.

SPORTS
• Come to Yogurtland TODAY and support your Girls Volleyball program. Buy a yummy yogurt between 4-7pm and 15% of proceeds go to Mustang Volleyball!
COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
• SoCalRoc (SCROC) Presentation and Fall Enrollment are Monday, June 10th at lunch in the CCC. For more information, see Pat Morrow in the CCC.
• Seniors: Please come pick up your scholarship notebooks in the CCC. We will have a list posted outside the CCC of all seniors receiving a scholarship by Monday, June 10th. Award recipients will be receiving an invitation to the scholarship awards night on Monday, June 17th via mail.
FACULTY
• Blood drive student lists have been emailed to you. Hard copies are available in rooms 40 and 43.
