STUDENT INFO
• “Every 15 Minutes” presentation is scheduled for June 6th and June 7th.
• Dodge ball Tournament sign ups in the quad at lunch. $10.00 per team.
• Do you like being in touch with the ‘pulse’ of the Mira Costa students? Do you enjoy helping others who struggle with the many challenges that life presents to all of us? And finally, would you like to develop your leadership skills while providing critical life-improving information to your classmates? If you answered yes to these questions then consider joining the PACE program next year as an elective class. All interested students must fill out an application for next year’s class by Friday, June 7th. Applications are available in the office or can be picked up from room 57.

• FRESHMEN, SOPHOMORES, AND JUNIORS! Get ready for CLASS COLOR VOTING TODAY at lunch in the quad! Bring your quarters to vote from a selection of 3 colors that your ASB representatives have chosen for your class. These colors will represent you all next year so make sure you vote!
• Thinking about joining the South Bay Champion Mira Costa Color guard or Drum line for the 2013-2014 school year? Come to our workshops TODAY and June 6th! Meet in the band room (Room 2) at 3:30.
• There are still spots available for the 2014 Spring Break trip to the Galapagos Islands. Lunch meeting TODAY, 6/5 in Mr. Chows Room, Room 3 or see Mr. Chow.
• Come by Room 43 and get a MCHS “Bro Tank” for $10.
• Attention next year AP ART HISTORY students! Please come to a meeting at lunch on Monday 6/10 in Ms. Park’s Room 120 to discuss summer assignments and textbooks! Thank you!
• Independent Study – Athletics – Final logs and evaluations are due on or before Friday, June 7th!
• Come hear the Mira Costa Orchestras perform at the iconic Walt Disney Concert Hall in Downtown LA on Sunday, June 9th, from 4-5pm. Tickets are $10 and will be on sale in the quad at lunch this Thursday and Friday. Don’t miss out on the chance to watch our talented Mustang musicians take on the professional stage!
• Yearbooks will be distributed for SENIORS on Thursday, June 6th starting at 3pm in Room 9. JUNIORS are 3pm Friday, FRESHMEN and SOPHOMORES at 3pm Monday. Make-ups are next day at lunch for your grade.
• Dodgeball Tournament sign-ups will be extended through TODAY, June 5th. The cost is $10 per team. The tournament begins on Thursday, June 6th at the tennis courts.
• Spain/Portugal Trip 2014 Mandatory meeting this Friday at lunch in Room 48!

CLUBS/ORGANIZATIONS
• Latino Scholars Union meets TODAY in Room 72. All new members welcome!
• Attention current NHS members: due to a number of scheduling issues, we will not have a full June meeting. Instead, drop by Room 32 this Friday at lunch. Seniors will receive honors cord and juniors should drop off their community service logs.
• Attention CSF members: CSF will be interviewing Dr. David Wineland, last year’s winner of the Physics Nobel Prize. You can submit your questions to @CSF_Statewide by Sunday, 6/9. You must include @beachghost93 in your Tweet.
• Ronald McDonald House Club will be meeting at lunch TODAY in Mr. Chow’s Room 3.
• Come write with the Creative Writing Club every Friday in Room 18!

SENIORS
• Cap and Gowns will be distributed TODAY during lunch at the attendance office to any student who forgot to pick up on Tuesday. If you still owe money or need to purchase a Cap and Gown , contact Josten’s at 805-987-4147.

SPORTS
• Hockey CHAMPIONSHIPS – The JV hockey championship game is TODAY at 6:30pm. The varsity team play in their championship game on Monday, June 10th at 5:15pm. Both games are at the Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo. Come out and support Mira Costa!
COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER
• SoCalRoc (SCROC) Presentation and Fall Enrollment are Monday, June 10th at lunch in the CCC. For more information, see Pat Morrow in the CCC.
FACULTY
• “Every 15 Minutes” presentation is scheduled for June 6th and June 7th.
